After watching the official trailer yesterday, i was slightly bothered, worried and angry at the scene where Arthur catches Gwen and Lancelot together. The reason is simple ... I want Gwen to be with Arthur and him only.
The legend before the french writers interfered showed Guinevere's loyalthy to Arthur and vice versa. There were no Lancelot 或者 Morgana intervening the beautiful 爱情 of Arthur and Guinevere. When Merlin opted to do the same and defied the french writer's legacy, i saluted the writers & producers and fell heads over heels in 爱情 with Merlin. But after yesterday, somewhere deep inside my heart, a crack has formed. I am beginning to fear if the inevitable happens.I was 苦 and angry. And the 下一个 日 i took a 日 off. I was completely disturbed!!
I decided to spend the entire 日 watching all three seasons of Merlin and calm myself down. And it worked! And then it came to me, slowly ... the reasoning ... the logic ... and explanation of the scene, the need for it. I begun to realise the reason for it to happen and all of sudden, i am not 苦 anymore!
After pondering the possibilities i managed to stream down a 列表 of reasons as to why i should not be angry at the producers & writers for coming up with such a scene. And why it will not turn out like in the books!!

1) In the scene, Lancelot is wearing black. Black symbolises evil and it means either he is 着魔 或者 disguised 由 some one else evil.

2) Remember he is rumoured to be dead. The funeral must be his. So he must has been taken in 由 someone bad, turned evil/enchanted and sent back to destroy Arthur

3) Gwen was seen wearing a bracelet which we did not see in any of the location pictures ... maybe she is 着魔 too

4) The real Lancelot will never fight Arthur as he owes him his life. Neither will he come in between Arthur and Gwen as he made that promise to Merlin in season 2! And the real Lancelot is someone who honours his words. So again ... sorcery at play

5) Gwen did not look guilty when Arthur came barging in

6) Arthur came in to the room in a hurry, his face worried and angry like as if he knew Lancelot was bad and was going to hurt Gwen. If Arthur had walked in on them, he would have looked hurt. To me he looked pissed!!

7) The real Lancelot if caught 由 Arthur in a scene like this would have reasoned with Arthur, not pull out a sword and ready to attack

8) The real Lancelot would never betray the three person he respects and 爱情 (Arthur,Merlin & Gwen). And of course he wouldnt betray the other knights; his 老友记 and brother at arms.

9)The producers did say that there will be a twist in the 爱情 三角形, 三角 and something different than in the books; so they are practically keeping us guessing with scenes like this ... if they meant to get our attention i would say they have succeeded!

10) Scenes like this are needed to get the zest out of the characters! If they are based in originality than it would bore 粉丝 like us as we could predict the end but with difference as this, not only does it arouse our expectation but it also creates a curiousity around the issue and the characters itself.

11)The secret of Merlin's success has been because it has it's own story to tell and never relied on the legend. The indifferent take on the legend created it's own euphoria which garnered millions of 粉丝 like us around the world. So it was important that they continue to entertain us 粉丝 with twist and turns in the series ... as to why suddenly i am not feeling any 更多 bitterness at the writers for churning out such scene! They were merely doing it for us, to grab our attention, to keep us guessing and on toes, to send us on a roller coaster ride before finally setting the dawn on us. And today, i came to appreciate that.

After listing it down, i realise the importance of such scene and why it was essential in the series. The writers and the producers of the 显示 are people who care about the 粉丝 of the series and i am sure they wouldnt risk the wrath of anyone 由 going against our wishes and turn the Arthur/Gwen 爱情 story into something else entirely. These were some of the reasons/logic that sprung to my mind today that knocked in some senses in me and 说 ... look!! This is not like in the 图书 ... this is entirely different!! And i am beginning to have hope in it.
