While I like Fred and Gunn seperately, I really didn't like them together. I didn't HATE the couple, but I just didn't feel the chemistry.

in the beginning i was like "awww how cute" i didn't like them like i like buffy & spike or cordy & angel, but i liked them. but by season 4 i was just like "eh, just break up already" cuz absolutely nothing was happening with them! that is why i like fred & wes together cuz they well had more of a tragic love for them, and they were very very sweet, where as fred and gunn were just like "whatever".

I never really liked Gunn, I thought his character was just a filler, and when he got involved with Fred i pretty much hated him. I loved Wes, and felt like Gunn was getting in the way of something so obvious.

It seems I'm the only Fred and Gunn fan in the world, but I absolutely loved them together. Contrary to what callstories said, I think they had awesome chemistry. And I don't see how their relationship got boring, I mean the "Othello and Desdemona" scene was near the end and it was fantastic.

As for Fred and Wes, I never liked the pairing. While I can see the merit in "A Whole in the World" I felt that other than that it was basically, "ok so lets put the two bookworms together because that's where they belong."

Also, I know I'm going to get squashed for this, but while it was clearly evident that Gunn loved Fred, I found Wes' love came off as obsession for the majority of the show.

I'm not trying to be antagonistic. It's just that I've seen so much support for Fred and Wes and so little for Fred and Gunn that I decided to stand up for one of my favorite couples of all time.
To me, Fred and Gunn's relationship simply had so much more to offer; what the majority seems to call "boring" I found wonderful.

I am willing to concede that perhaps if Wes and Fred had had more time to develop they would have surpassed Fred and Gunn, but sadly they were not given that chance.

So to summarize, Fred and Gunn forever! :)

LOL I agree with you spikes_girl, it was cute for a while but then I just got over it and was like okay this is getting boring, and the fact that I absolutely LOVE Fred/Wesley together could have something to do with it as well...:)

Loved the Gunn/Fred relationship great chemistry, The thought of Wesley/Fred seemed rather akward and boring.

I'm with the_drs_girl. The whole time Gunn and Fred were together, his character went absolutely nowhere. It's like the only reason he stayed in the show was to keep Fred and Wesley apart. It just didn't work for me.

I absolutely agree with the_drs_girl. I didn't like Gunn from the beginning but when he got together with Fred I was like "WTF!!! He's a loser. Wesley's so much better for her!"

they were really cute together....

I did, but if it wasn't for the whole Gunn/Wesley hate I would've enjoyed them more. I prefer Gunn and wesley's friendship over any couple.

I think both couples had interesting aspects to say the least, but I do agree with L to the point that Wesley and Fred really didn't have a relationship. Do not get me wrong, I really do like them together. But Wes... You waited WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long.

What's not to like? They were adorable in their time.
