I leaned back in my chair and stared at the sealing thinking about my son Garth that just finish flight school and is on his way to naval school.

Caption Winston house December 5, 1941
I woke up at 5:00 Am sharp 吻乐队（Kiss） my wife Eve and got up. I took a 淋浴 and pout on my uniform. I smiled as I came out of the bath room and looked at my small 1 story, 2 床, 床上 room and 1 bath room home. I grabbed my blow horn from my closet and I quietly walk down the hall to my daters Kate and Lilly room. I opened the door slowly and stepped in I looked at them Lilly was curled up like a ball on her bed. Mean wile Kate was spread out on her belly with her mouth open and tongue sticking out. I tried not to laugh at her and I took a deep breath and pout the blow horn to my mouth and yelled “get your lazy asses up right now”. Kate yelld and fell out of 床, 床上 and looked at me with anger in her eyes. Mean wile Lilly just stretch and sat up rubbing her eyes she looked at me and Kate. “good morning, what time is it?” “It is 5:30 Am, now who is gitting in the 淋浴 first?” I shouted through the blow horn. “Well I guess I will” Lilly said. “that my girl” Kate yelled holding her ears “please stop using your blow horn it is to early for that” I replied “well get used to it sweaty, now get your butt moving 你 do not have all day”. “Ok ok” I watch her get off the floor and role her eyes at me. I lift and pout my blow horn away and then turned and saw that Eve was not in bed. I found her in the 厨房 making breakfast. I let out a cuss and got up and garbed my recruit uniform that I laid on my chair last night. I rain to the bathroom and vary quickly took a 淋浴 and pout on the uniform. I rain to the 厨房 and got some beef jerky from the cabinet and rain to my truck. It was a Ford half-ton pickup 221 CID Ford flathead V-8, 85 horsepower at 3,800 RPM, 3 speed manual column shift transmission it cost me $634.00. I through open the door and got in I looked around for my keys; I cuss loudly and slammed my fist on the steering wheel casing it to honk. I rain back to my hose and garbed my keys and got back in my truck. I back up out of my driveway and shifted it into gear and with tier squeal I set off for the air base. I was ½ way there going 70 mph when the police came out and pout on his sirens and blues and 2. I cuss again and I rolled my eyes why me? I thought to myself. As I poled over to the side of the road I glance at the clock it was 7:10am. I watch the police officer walk to the window. “Do 你 know how fast 你 going? “He said. “Ummm I guess I was doing 70 sir”. “You do know this is a 50mph zone and that means 你 were speeding boy. So I will need to see your driver’s license”. I found it and I gave it to him it took a 分钟 but he gave then bask and 说 “ok 你 are clean I was going to give 你 a ticket but I am in a good mood to 日 so I will give 你 a warning” I was excited “think 你 very much 你 are the best and I will not speed again” I watch him get in his car. I sifted in to gear and set off again go in 50 all the way to the base because the cop was following me all the way there. I found a parking 太空 and looked at the clock it was 7:30am. I slammed the door and run to the terminal and was surprised to find the plane was still there. I went through security and rain to the plane where I found caption Winston yelling at a worker for what I don’t know and I did not care. I was just happy that I did not miss the plane. I got in and saw that every 座位 was taken except the one 下一个 to Kate. I went up the middle and took a 座位 my 老友记 说 “wow 你 are lucky if the plane did not have an engine problem we wood of left 你 behind” I laugh and started to relax in my 座位 noticing that Kate was staring at me. “Like what 你 see?” I asked as I turned my head to face her. “You look hansom today” she said. “Thank 你 “I 说 “so 你 nerves about training?” I ask her. “Ha me, nerves I am never nerves I am looking for the traning”she said. I laugh again “ok “I just sat there until we were all in California.

The pilot started the plane the right engine sputtered in to life but the lift did not. He let out a cuss and shouts off the engine he got up and went out of the plane. He opened the lift engine cowling and saw that 5 spark plugs were bad. He waved to a ground maintenance crew member and 说 “ can 你 go and get 5 new spark plugs from the parts room please” the worker 说 “yes”. I removed the bad plugs and waited for the new ones 10 min later he came back and started to fix it. Caption Winston got angry and went out and started yelling at the pilot. “What the big idea hears we were so post to of left 30 min ago” the pilot 说 “well the plain heeds new plugs”. “Why did 你 not find this out before we got hear”? “Because I did not start the engines until now”. “Well hurry and fix it” he 说 while I watch Humphrey run into the plain. “well if 你 keep yelling at me it will take longer to fix so please go back in the plane and leave me alone” i yelled. he got back in the plain and 5 min later we were in the air flying to California………………..
