It was very early in the mourning when Kate was awaken from a terrifying nightmare. Kate rubbed her eyes and laid on her back starring at the ceiling of the den. “Man, thats the fourth time this week I've had the same nightmare,” She thought. “Why am I having these nightmares, what do they mean?” “Its the same thing every night?” “Maybe I just need some air to clear my head,” she thought. Without waking Midnight and Humphrey Kate stretched and gave out a yawn and walked out of her den. To her surprise sitting at the edge of the 巢穴, den, 书房 was KIM. “Crazy Girl” She thought. “Why is she up so late I wonder?”
KIM was staring out into the open, the sky was clear, with a nice cool breeze blowing through the trees and the stars sparkled like diamonds in the night sky. It was a beautiful night. Kate sat 下一个 to KIM “Nice night isn't it KIM?” KIM didn't say much but nod her head. “Yea...Why are 你 up so late Kate?” She asked. “Huh funny I was just about to ask 你 the same thing!” Kate sighed “I don't know, I haven't been able sleep lately, Ive been having some really wacky nightmares.” KIMs eyes widened, “Really like what?” she asked nervously. Kate couldn't really give her an answer. “OH, I don't know to be honest.” “In the nightmare I'm running as fast as can from a group of men with 枪 screaming and yelling at me?” “Don't let her get away!” “Eventually they capture me and then I wake up before anything else happens.” KIM was very silent. Kate nodded her head “So, yea thats what Ive been dreaming about for almost a week now.” “Its getting very annoying actually,” as she yawned. “Other than that, why are 你 up KIM?” KIM didn't say anything. “KIM whats wrong?” Kate asked. KIM lifted her head, “Kate I'm so sorry your going through this with me.” Kate was confused “What do 你 mean?” She asked. “Those weren't nightmares Kate, those were flashbacks.” “My flashbacks,” KIM 说 sadly.
Kate was very confused. “Wait what do 你 mean those are your flashbacks,” she asked. A small tear rolled down the side of KIMs cheek. “Kate,” she said. I'm sorry but I haven't been honest with you.” “Theres a lot of things 你 don't know about me and my past.” Kate sat and listened to KIMs story. “You see Kate I was never like this before, in fact I was alive many years ago. I was a lot like 你 and looked a lot like 你 actually. Young, strong willed, and had a lot to live for. I was the leader of the pack as a matter of fact. Many 狼 looked up to me, for I was a good role model. So I was told. I was also known as the Guardian of Jasper Park. The reason why was because I was the only one who was 《勇敢传说》 enough to chase hunters and poachers off this land. I made sure that my pack was 安全 from harm. Of course unfortunately it all caught up with me. The men I scared off would tell lies about me, and made me look like an enemy. Before 你 knew it everyone thought of me as a threat. Worried that this so called Rabid 狼 would harm their families, and livestock. They all ganged up together and went hunting for me. They started to destroy everything in their path order to smoke me out. Killed the caribou, and started cutting down all the trees trying to find me. They were destroying Jasper Park.”
“There was nothing I could do, I didn't have the powers I do now. There was no point of trying to stop them, cause I knew they would kill me eventually. I got everywolf together and got them to safety on the other side of the valley. When I knew they were all safe, I had to do one 更多 thing, and that was to make sure they stayed safe. I wondered into the forest alone making sure no one was following me, and faced them. 枪 drawn I didn't fight back, I gave my self up knowing that it was the only peaceful way to keep the park safe. Once they got their 狼 I knew they would leave Jasper alone. They had chain and wrapped it around my neck to make sure that I wouldn't escape. I took one last look around, for it would be the last time I'd Jasper again. Then I saw something that made my 心 sink... My daughter peaking from the bushes. Before I could say anything, everything went black, and I was gone.”
Kates ears dropped. “Oh my god, KIM.” “I had know Idea.” “Why didn't 你 ever tell me this before.” KIM shook her head “Kate it has just been a really soar subject for me and I have never really been able to talk about it until now.” “You see now what I mean 由 flashbacks.” “You have been experiencing what I went through that night in your nightmares.” “Is there anything else, Kate asked.” “Yes 说 KIM.”

“There is just one 更多 问题 I want to ask 你 KIM?” “Why didn't 你 make your self known until that night I was captured 由 Richard and Dale?” KIM looked at Kate “I wanted to make sure that 你 had a normal life.” “Being a pup I knew 你 wouldn't understand, so I waited for the perfect moment.” “When I knew those two goons captured 你 I had to protect 你 and midnight.” “So I came out, of course it wasn't exactly a painless process for 你 but it got the point through.” Kate was stunned “Wow, and here I thought I knew a lot about you.” “KIM...... I think differently about 你 now.” “I cant believe everything 你 went through.” “I couldn't imagine doing that.” “Sacrificing yourself to save everyone else has to be one of the most selflessness things I have ever of any 狼 doing.” “Yea, KIM 说 sadly.” “ I wish I could see it your way.” “Kate I feel like abandoned everyone I cared about.” “I never knew what happened to any of them.” “I just up and walked away and never came back.” “My daughter seeing me, poor thing had that image in her mind for the rest of her life.” KIM started to cry. “How can I live with that?”
Kate stood up and gave KIM a hug. “Well KIM this is all I have to say. 你 shouldn't be this hard on yourself. What 你 did was amazing, there was nothing else 你 could have done better. What 你 did saved Jasper Park and everything that lives here! Just look around you! All of this wouldn't be here if it was for your bravery to sacrifice your self to save the others. Not to mention what 你 have done for me. Lets face it 你 saved Humphrey, my sister Lilly, 你 have saved Midnight tons of times. Plus KIM 你 saved me. I don't care what any 狼 says about you. A curse, A monster, the Guardian. What ever the case may be 你 will always be one greatest things that has happened to me.” “You will always be a hero my book!”
