So remember that time Bioware wasn’t making shit like Anthem, and wasn’t constantly getting flack 由 everyone for making a god awful piece of shit that was unfun and ruined your consoles and they weren’t on the brink of death every time EA did something stupid?.... So yeah, let’s talk about Dragon Age: Origins
你 play as either a noble human, a noble 或者 peasant Dwarf 或者 a peasant 或者 tribal Elf. Due to circumstances in either story, 你 end up joining the Wardens, a group of soldiers that are able to fight the monsters of this land, the Darkspawn. But due to a traitor among the group that runs from the fight, only 你 and a very few number of Wardens are left. All that is left for 你 to do is to travel around the kingdom, gaining the help of four major groups, all in the hopes of stopping the Darkspawn before they can destroy all humans. Yes, this sounds like the nerdiest shit in the world, and I am aware of that, but this game is still a ton of fun, and can get real dark too. 你 got a clan of 狼人 being hunted 由 Elves to near extinction after one of the Elves was raped and murdered, 你 a blood mage that is on trial for murder only because of the magic he practices, and 你 have the Darkspawn stealing Dwarf women to become hideous monsters and that is just a whole other level of fuckery I’d rather not get into right now. Regardless of all this, the game is still a ton of fun. The combat isn’t anything special, but the story is amazing. No choice 你 make is bad, at least for you. Some people gotta suffer, but regardless, 你 need an army to save the kingdom and whatever happens, 你 gotta live with that decision. Do 你 want an corrupt tyrant who knows how to run a country to rule over the Dwarf city 或者 would 你 rather a kind hearted moron do it. Do 你 want to gain the strength of a mass army on your side to help in your fight 或者 do 你 want the allies 你 have to stick with you. Speaking of which, I 爱情 the characters in this game. All of them. Alistar is a cocky guy who is always quick to make jokes, Oghren has a ton of crude jokes but is a beast on the battlefield, and Liliana is a real fun character to be around for her backstory and her kind behavior. And then there’s Dog…. And he’s just a Dog…. I 爱情 him. Despite all that, and the humor 你 get from your party members banter, a lot of this game can get real heavy real fast, but doesn’t feel forced 或者 anything. It just feels like a true epic tale of 龙 and warriors and I 爱情 every 秒 of it. No game has ever made me want to replay the game as soon as the credits were over, but damn if Dragon Age didn’t give me that feeling.
Dragon Age: Origins truly was a one of a kind game. Dragon Age II was a complete failure of a game, and while Inquisition tried to bring it all back, I just didn’t feel it with the long, drawn out side missions. No, Dragon Age: Origins was the true experience for me, and while it’s a shame that it’s sequels weren’t as good, and a real damn shame EA will never continue the franchise, I was just glad I got to play this game.
Wow. I mean wow. I thought it wasn't possible for people to get dumber. There's the Condom Challenge, where 你 put a condom in your nose and pull it out your mouth and hope 你 don't suffocate, then there's the Cinnamon Challenge where 你 eat cinammon and try not to choke. But, people could get dumber. Here it is, the 火, 消防 challenge, where 你 set yourself on 火, 消防 for no goddamn reason. What the hell, what is wrong with this world. Are people really this stupid that they actually set themselves on fire. Apperently they do. Its even been shown on the news, for gods sake.
