I want to be very clear, and very understanding when I say that I am not very supportive of criminal organizations like the mafia. That being said, Yakuza Kiwami is the fucking shit!
I never played the original Yakuza game, and while I never judge a book 由 its cover, the voice 表演 is… pretty terrible. Regardless, I ended up playing the remake version known as Kiwami, and I’m happier for it. The game follows Yakuza member Kiryu Kazuma as he takes the fall for the murder of the head of the yakuza, while his friend Nishkiyama ends up becoming evil, there’s an underground hobo community, a girl whose mother is missing, Majima is the fucking best thing in this game, and a ton of side quests all with a crazy fighting system. This game is some serious madness. The town of Kamarochuo is not as expansive as say the streets of Hong Kong from Sleeping Dogs, but it doesn’t need to be, cause 你 still got a whole lot to do in this game. A 列表 of side quests for 你 to complete, collectable keys, cards and other items, a bunch of challenges to buy upgrades and rare items, fight club, gambling, karaoke, arcade games, this game is stuffed with content for an overworld that is as big as my hometown. The game allows 你 to switch between different fighting styles. 你 got the classic Brawler style, then there’s the fast moving Rush style, the overpowered but slow Beast style, and then, Dragon style, which allows 你 to do insane moves onto your targets, including bosses. The game has some brutal finishers as well, and a lot of them to. From beating people down, using the weapons 你 have on hand, 或者 smashing them into objects on the streets, like fences 或者 car doors. And then there’s the best part of the game, the Majima Everywhere System. Majima is a total crazy person, and always wants to fight Kiryu. And so, Majima will always be on the prowl, looking for Kiryu and trying to start a fight in some way. From dressing as a cop to find contraband, to dressing as a zombie and faking an outbreak, to even crossdressing and 表演 like a hostess to get near him. Every single time I was walking down the street, Majima would shock me and I loved it.
Yakuza Kiwami was my introduction to the franchise, aside from seeing some gameplay of Yakuza 0, and I loved every 秒 I was beating up thugs and punks on the street. I look 前锋, 期待 to trying out Yakuza 6 and I am real excited to getting around to play Yakuza Kiwami 2. And with a Majima mode. Hell yeah, give me 更多 of that Mad Dog!
So, Final 幻想 VI was a good RPG on the SNES. I hear a lot of people say that it is the best. But that can’t be true.
