ONE DIRECTION BREAK SOCIAL MEDIA RECORDS DURING THEIR ON THE ROAD AGAIN TOUR AT LONDON'S O2 ARENA

As if casually selling out six nights at London\'s O2 Arena for their On The Road Again tour like it\'s no big deal wasn\'t enough to pickle One Direction\'s chestnuts, they\'ve only gone and smashed social media records while they\'re there.

SURE. WHY NOT. Because we weren\'t already emotionally unstable enough from seeing them at said O2 Arena (still not over how epic it all was, tbh).

While we broke the records for most tears cried in one night, the shortest time it took us to lose our voices (screaming, crying, perfect storm) and the most texts we\'ve sent our parents to give them a step-by-step account of what was happening, four boys by the names of Niall, Louis, Liam and Harry were busy breaking actual social media records that actually exist.

All thanks to a selfie taken with the arena\'s first venue-based \'Twitter Mirror\' during their first night there.

THIS VERY SELFIE, which was posted on The O2\'s Twitter:

BRB, crying in the foetal position under our coffee table.

According to, er, someone who\'s good with numbers, over 27,000 people retweeted the snap and almost 39,000 favourited it to date. If that wasn\'t impressive enough, the image reached a staggering 1.3 million people on Twitter.

ONE POINT THREE MILLION HUMAN BEINGS. That\'s Maths we can\'t even do.

Speaking about the boys\' first night performing to the masses, the General Manager of The O2 Arena Rebecca Kane Burton said: "It was an amazing first night and we know the Directioners loved it. We\'ve never seen such engagement on social media and the buzz online and in the venue was something special."

We couldn\'t have said it better ourselves, Rebecca. What wonderful little muffins those boys are.
