彩虹 Bridge



Just this side of heaven is a place called 彩虹 Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to 彩虹 Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special 老友记 so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our 老友记 are warm and comfortable.

All the 动物 who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt 或者 maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember
them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The 动物 are happy and content, except...

PREHISTORIC DOG FOUND WITH MAMMOTH BONE IN MOUTH

Paleolithic dog remains were found, one dog with a large mammoth bone in its mouth.
The prehistoric 狗 likely hauled mammoth tusks and meat and consumed mammoths too.
The dogs' brains were removed after death, suggesting ritual significance, possibly tied to releasing their spirits.
