Ed Sheeran receives First Time at The O2 Award 

Sheeran was awarded the honor tonight (October 12) ahead of the first of four sell-out dates at the London arena.

The award celebrates Sheeran\'s first headline performance at The O2 arena, and is based on the loop pedal he uses when performing his songs.

The pedal has been broken into its different components and arranged in a geometric pattern in a box frame.

Sheeran will perform at The O2 until Wednesday, October 15, before continuing his tour.

Earlier this week it was announced that Sheeran\'s track \'Everything Has Changed\' was nominated for \'Song of the Year\' at the BMI London Awards 2014, alongside songs from other artists including Ellie Goulding and Avicii.
