Ok I haven't read the 图书 but i was trying to figure out why she used the Bamon scene. What I saw was a Bamon scene of sorts disguised as a DE scene. Like stated before Damon didn't 移动 until Bonnie's name was mentioned. There was no obsession over her being the dopple. I support TRUE 爱情 and this is why I root for BAMON, STELENA and FORWOOD. Stelena always shows us what TRUE 爱情 is. In the finale, Stefan respects Elena's desire to save Matt first and he does so even if it breaks his heart. Elena is so much better and selfless person when Stefan is around.
