Everyone seems to be hating on Hydra. What do 你 guys think?

I like covers from some people myself. But, with Within Temptation, i prefer their own stuff. I didn't hate the album, but it wasn't like their usual stuff.

Eh, I don't like it but I don't hate it. As I've stated before, it doesn't have that dramatic edge that all of their 前一个 albums had and it's too peppy for me. Symphonic Metal is my 最喜爱的 genre for a reason, and this album sounded a bit too much like all those current pop/rock bands that I dislike and I prize the entire Symphonic Metal genre over.

Overall, I'm still not sure what to think of Hydra, except that I thought Covered 由 玫瑰 in particular was fantastic. Possibly because it reminded me of songs from The Unforgiving, which I really liked too.

I also really liked Covered 由 玫瑰 and several songs from The Unforgiving, despite preferring their earlier material.
