The 2006 film, 超人 Returns, was a nostalgia tribute to Richard Donner and Christopher Reeve's versions of Superman, as well as Superman's big return to the big screen. Since the film was built around 超人 coming back to Earth, I think that the perfect song to have in the film is John Sebastian's Welcome Back Kotter song.

Instead of welcoming back Kotter, here's a welcome back for Superman:

I know that this is destined to be an unpopular opinion. After all, modern superhero films are treated like the best blockbusters ever, while old superhero films are treated like outdated jokes from the past. However, I believe that superhero films have gone down in quality. I do want to make it clear that not all modern superhero films are lacking in quality. One of the greatest villains of all time is the Riddler, also known as Edward Nygma. Although the Riddler first appeared in the comics, a lot of what made the character so iconic and enjoyable came from Frank Gorshin, the first actor that ever played the character.
