At least Bella had Jacob, Edward was alone brooding, moping and planning a suicide mission!
Still, Bella's misery was seriously intense!

Yeah, I agree. Though she seems weaker, she would die anyway - and yet Edward would have to live without her forever. Literally.

He was not planing a suicide mission until he saw her die. They both suffered equally , because true love is equally intense for each person with out the other they are incomplete.

i pick edward...bella had jacob..edward had none..though bella suffered a lot, edward till suffered the most.

bella at least try to keep going to school and everything for charlie, and she got jacob.
edward just stay and let the pain consume him.

bella had to at least try and act normal for her parents' sake. plus, she had jake, which caused her some happiness. edward was just completely miserable. but i will have to say that bella suffered a lot as well. she was just more private about it by trying to hide it, whereas edward didn't hide it at all.

It's a hard one because we don't actally know in full detail what life was like for Edward but i guess Bella did become happier with life without edward when she become best friends with jacob.

I really believe that Bella suffered a lot. She tried to continue because she promised to him. But in fact she felt like a zombie. her soul was empty and he was a little cruel with her because he took all her things, like her photos and her cd. She tried to continue but you can't compare a friendship with the true love.

well ok i pick bella because she was promised he wouldnt leave and he made the decision to leave so i say she siffered more she might had jacob but edward still had her heart
