"Mr. Cullen! Mr. Cullen!" I heard Coach Clapp call from behind where me and Edward were.
Oh great! What does he want? I thought to Edward. Then quickly and silently Edward responded to my thought.
"He is about to ask us, well mainly you, to try-out for football... again."
Oh my God! 你 can't be serious! The man doesn't know when to take a hint does he? I groaned in my head. Edward laughed beside me.
"Mr. Cullen!" The persistent little man continued.
"Ugh let's get this over with." I 说 under my breath. Then I turned around, and so did Edward.
"Coach?" I asked in the most innocent voice I could manage without laughing.
"Mr. Cullen, I'm glad I caught you. I was hoping 你 might have changed your mind about football?" he asked hopefully.
"I'm sorry Mr. Clapp, but as I have already told you... I'm not interested." I leaned my head down to give the guy a good 老式 glare. From the laugh Edward covered up with a cough, I guess it worked because the little guy turned around and walked away.
So are 你 gonna go stalk the 天鹅 girl again tonight? I asked him
"Yea I think so."
That's to bad... I was going to challenge Jazz to a rematch, and we need a ref. We just walked in silence for a little while, until I continued, and we can't have Alice 或者 Rose do it, cause they would be biased. And Esme would make us quit before it got good. I guess we could ask Carlisle... if he ain't to busy.
"Look man I'm sorry. But-"
Its all good brother, just do what 你 gotta do, and get it over with. I thought quickly. I wasn't expecting his reaction. He whipped around and said, "I'm not going to kill her!" 由 this time we were at his car, he on the driver's side and me on the passengers. I had put my 兜帽, 罩, 发动机罩 on because it had started to rain, trying to act human. It was then, when he looked at the fragile bag-of-bones across the parking lot that he loved her.
"This is wrong Edward! Shes not one of us!" I warned him.
"Its none of your concern Emmett."
"Its all of my concern, along with the rest of the family too! If 你 do try and be together, and you're seen publicly, and then it ends badly, well 你 know what that will mean, Edward."
"Alice doesn't see me hurting her." He excused.
"Alice's visions aren't set in stone, Edward!" He just sighed.
Look Edward, I really like it here. So does the rest of the family... we don't have to be completely inhuman here. We can be ourselves... to some extent.
"Let's talk to the rest of the family." He suggested.
"Rose isn't gonna be happy about this. 你 know that right?"
"Haha yea I know, but 你 can't complain."
"That's true. Shes a blond bottle rocket."
"Haha lets go." Then we both got into his car and we drove off toward home.
