Suddenly the small mountain’s body came to a stop and I carried on rolling until I fell of the edge of the valley. The wind bit at me and I felt as if I was airborne. I felt as if I was flying instead of gliding, floating instead of falling. I smiled. Finally, my death is near. Thank god! It’s about time t-” My happiness slumped as my fall stopped and I found myself un-dead.

I picked up the unconscious body of Renesmee, there was an uncontrollably huge part of me that wanted to let my instincts take over and suck her blood, the other wanted to do anything to please her. She pushed herself out of the grip of my frozen, stone arms and slapped me again. This one did hurt, but it wasn’t my face that had a sharp pain, it was my heart. “You just saved me! 你 just saved me!
