It was dark outside, and I was in my room, finishing off some homework. My C.D player was on loud as I worked, but that didn’t matter. I was the only one in. It was late, around 10; 45pm, but I wasn’t tired. Mum and Dad had gone up to Grandpa Carlisle and Grandma Esme’s house to talk with everyone about something important. They had suggested I stay 首页 and study. It was a huge surprise when Jacob turned up.
“Whoa Jake, it’s you!”
“Oh my God, really?!” he laughed, and I found myself laughing too.
“What I mean is; why are 你 here at nearly eleven pm when my parents are out? Trying to seduce a young, single woman on a school night is a criminal offense 你 know!” To my surprise, Jake didn’t laugh, 或者 even smile. He frowned.
“Ness, I would never, ever take advantage of you. 你 are completely 安全 with me,” he vowed sternly.
“I know, Jacob. I was just joking. I trust you, see,” I said, pressing my hands to his face so he could see the 图片 of what he had done for me over the last five years, and how completely trustful of him I was.
“Renesmee, we need to talk. I 说 later, and I think now is the right time. 你 look very cute, 由 the way,” he smiled my favourite smile.
I looked down and realised I was in my short, red kimono, had my hair up in a swingy ponytail, and in my red silk slippers.
“Oh God, I wasn’t planning on 你 coming! This nightie is way too short for company, and I haven’t even brushed my hair 或者 anything…”
“Relax, Nessie. 你 look absolutely beautiful. So… natural. And I definitely don’t mind short red silk and high ponytails. Especially not on you,” he winked.
Jake was right, I was completely at ease with him.
“Pretty hunky yourself, J-man!”
He had a bare chest, his hair was sticking up in all directions, and he had on some short baggy jeans. Still, he looked cute.
He took me 由 the hand and led me up to my room. I sat on the bed, as Jake perched in discomfort. He grabbed my hand again, tightly, and held my gaze.
“Nessie, I 爱情 you. Ever since 你 were born, I’ve loved you. I’ve been Uncle Jake, Wolf-boy Jake, best friend Jake, but never your boyfriend Jake. 你 have a choice, of course, but 你 need to know how much I completely adore you, and how special 你 are to me. I 爱情 你 Ness, and I can’t imagine life without you. I was told 由 your parents to wait until your seventeenth birthday, when 你 would have had a 年 to experience school, and then another 年 to consider your options. But Renesmee, I cannot physically spend another 年 waiting for your birthday to tell 你 how I feel.” I was so shocked at this point that I could barely comprehend as he got down on one knee and said; “Renesmee Carlie Cullen, I will 爱情 你 for all of eternity. Each 日 of eternity. Will you, please, marry me?” This was exactly like my fathers proposal to my mother, only he had swapped some words for 更多 appropriate ones to our situation. I was utterly shocked already, but when he dug into his pocket and pulled out my mother’s engagement ring, I just about fainted.
“I want 你 to know that I am as serious about this as your parents are about each other, and this ring is to symbolize I 爱情 你 with all my heart. I’ve had the words ‘for all eternity’ engraved inside, and I just wish 你 could understand how I feel. When 你 were born, I was so… starstruck; 你 entered my life in a flash of dazzling, brilliant colours, and I can only wish for your answer to be yes…” he trailed off, probably taking in my wide eyes and gaping mouth. It took me what felt like forever to catch my breath and 撰写 myself. I had so much to think about! Jacob, my dearest best friend, had just announced that he loved me. He had declared that 爱情 with my mother’s engagement ring and a proposal. Just then, as I sat replaying the event in my head, I realised something. I had always loved him back. When I was younger, I looked at him with wistful eyes, as I knew he was in it for life. I admired him for being so kind, so generous. Also for being so handsome. He really is my perfect match.
On impulse, reacting with my newfound joy, I sprang to my feet and screamed, “Yes! Of course! Yes, Jake. Yes!” I jumped up and kissed him. This 吻乐队（Kiss） was sensational; our first. It started off slow and gentle, but got fiercer and 更多 urgent as we went on. He locked his strong arms around my neck, and I locked mine around his back. His warm, sweet breath was in my mouth now. It felt great. We fell onto the bed, where his hands dropped to my waist, with mine tangling in his hair. We rolled around 接吻 for minutes, until finally we had to pull away. As we did so, I realised I had uncovered a new, amazing part of myself. I rolled over to check the time, with Jacob still holding me against him. It was already after twelve!
“Jake! Weren’t 你 supposed to meet my parents up at Carlisle’s house tonight?!”
“Uhuh, and…?” he shrugged.
“Because, Jacob Black, 你 went back on your promise. 你 说 你 wouldn’t seduce me, and 你 completely have. Not that it wasn’t the best night of my life, but now its past midnight, and 你 are very late!”
He laughed. “Sorry Miss Cullen. Actually, Miss Cullen- Soon To Be Black.”
He came up behind me, gave me a large 熊 hug, a tender kiss, and a wink.
“I’ll see 你 at the altar. I 爱情 你 Renesmee, with all my heart.”
“For all eternity too. And yes, I’ll see 你 there. I 爱情 你 too, baby.”
I beamed. He grinned, then disappeared into the night.

I awoke in the morning, feeling revitalised and excited. My gorgeous, charming best friend Jacob was now my brilliant fiance. Suddenly a problem occured to me; my parents. Although my parents married seemingly young themselves, my father was already 100, and my mother almost 19. Although 19 seems young, Mom has always been old for her age; 更多 thirty than twenty.
I decided that I would have to talk it through with them.
"Hey Mom! Dad!" I cooed gently as I hopped downstairs.
"Hey, Ness," my father replied.
"So, how was last night? Discuss your situation?"
"Yes, actually we did Renesmee. And I hear 你 discussed yours, hmm?" My mother stared at me with intense eyes. Oh crap.
"Yeah, about that," I took a deep breath, "Last night, I realised something totally great. I understand that Jake loves me, and figured just last night that I 爱情 him too. Alot. We're not like those dumb, hick, just-out-of-HighSchool couples, 你 know. Our 爱情 is deeper. Jake has always been there, and I know that I want him for the rest of my life too. I'm sorry if that isn't what 你 want to hear."
To my surprise, my parents laughed.
"We've known about this longer than you, honey. We had asked him to wait, but you're a sensible girl, and we know you'll wait until you're out of school. Things are changing Ren, but we're here for you, and whatever 你 decide."
My dad put his arm around my mom's waist and kissed her head.
"Thanks." I said, almost speechless. I was still overwhelmed 由 how empathetic my Mom's eyes and tone had seemed.
After another glass of water, I ran to my room to get ready. My hair was no longer straight, but wavy and full of volume; emphasizing my pretty face softly. I left it natural, clipping just my long fringe back. Alice had left me a lovely tank top, periwinkle with delicate embroidery, and a wonderful shiny-white, silk skirt. Another different- but just as beautiful- pair of Jimmy Choo's, and a slick of lipgloss later, I was out of the door, feeling ready for anything.
