Happy holidays, everybody! I hope 你 are happy, healthy, surrounded 由 loved ones, warm, and done with your shopping. I'd 爱情 to run around giving all of 你 Porsches this year, but, since I can't, my gift to 你 is a peek at the Japanese illustrations from Eclipse, which are in my 照片 in a brand new folder. Enjoy!

My gift to myself is the best one I could have possibly 给 me! December 22nd, at around 1:20 a.m., I finally finished the rough draft of Breaking Dawn. Hallelujah! It feels amazing to have that boulder-sized weight off my back. And now I get to relax and have fun on 圣诞节 instead of 写作 all night like I have been doing up to this point.

Please, please don't read this and begin a slew of "If Breaking Dawn is done, why can't it come out NOW!" comments. I finished the ROUGH draft. Very, very rough. To put this in perspective, it took over two years from the rough draft stage of Twilight to the book being on store shelves. In general, I spend about a 年 to a 年 and a half editing a book. Don't cry, though, because both I and Little Brown's editorial staff are going to do everything in our power to get Breaking Dawn out Fall 2008. So, fingers crossed, it will be on time. Just don't ask for it to come out early because my head is already pretty close to exploding right now. (To get the rough draft done this week, I shattered a personal record 由写作 40 (FORTY!!) pages in one day. That kind of thing takes a toll.)

CharmedAngel88 Thanks for posting this, it was nice to read. I can't wait to read the possible 800 pages of Breaking Dawn! But Fall of 2008 seems so far away! I had heard a while back it was going to be released in August of '08 and that seemed far enough then, so tacking on a couple months is tourture. But I will live.

chocolate-bear Lol, it does seem extremely far away. But i guess the farther away it is, the better it will be! And no problem. :)

CharmedAngel88 True, the longer it takes for the book to come out means that she has more time to perfect it for us. That's a good way to look at things.

luvrofedward that was really cool to read. i just realized that this soapbox thingy was here. that would be weird if the movie came out at the same time as the movie, i would read the book first and then go see the movie...idk bout u....

chocolate-bear that would be weird if they came out at the same time. I would definitely read the book first though ... maybe a couple times before i saw the movie. :p

Aryn hey! fall 2008 'aint THAT far away... LOL!!! It is fall 2008 now!!! Breaking Dawn comes out in about 3 DAYS!!! Wow, I'm sure glad that i didn't begin the series until July 2008. Otherwise I would have had to wait so long!!!!! Well, it's almost out now, so I am HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot WAIT! It is going to be awesome. :))))) -Aryn (\_(\ (O.o) ((")(")
