So this chapter came to me when I was trying to sleep last night and I just have to get it out here. A new character is introduced and it just might surprise you...maybe.

While the girls were getting dressed in our room, the guys and Mason took the liberty of dressing everywhere else in the house. Emmett wore a dark gray suit with a red tie, Japser a white tux with a yellow tie, and Mason and I wore dark black 《金装律师》 with dark blue ties.

"When are they going to be ready?" Mason flung his head back on the couch.

"Never." Emmett groaned. "When everything is perfect, they find something they don't like, so that change everything."

Mason groaned.

"Stop your whining." A voice followed down the stairs.

All of our heads turned up to watch them all walk down the stairs. Their dresses varried in length but worked for them. Rose's was long, Alice's stopped at her knees, and Bella's at her thighs.

"Finally." Emmett clapped his hands together. "Let's ride."

Rose rolled her eyes but followed him out the door none the less.

"You look beautiful." I told Bella.

"You look good, as well." she smiled.

I nudged Mason who was standing beside me.

"You look awesome, Mom." He smiled at her.

"Thank you, honey." She laughed.


At 晚餐 we informed everyone of our engagement. Emmett, expectedly, warned me of hurting Bella, Mother cried, as did Bella, Alice and Rose. Jasper gave me a fist pump, and my father a hug.

Letting everyone know Bella was mine...really and truely mine, was the best feeling in the world. No one could take her and Mason away from me. They were mine.

"We probably won't be able to stay much longer." Bella pointed to a nodded Mason. It surprised me that he could could fall asleep with all the talking, laughing, and loud 摇摆, 秋千 music. "Maybe we could leave after your speech?"

I kissed her lightly. "Perfect."

She smiled and waved me off as they called for head of departments. My speech was after my father's, Emmett's, and Jasper's, but before the rest of the hospital. We would get to hear the people we wanted to without hearing the people we didn't.

My mind drifted as I spotted Anglea with a now sleeping Haylee in her arms. I smiled as I pictured that being Bella, holding my child. My baby girl with curly brown hair and big brown eyes. Maybe green. 或者 maybe a bow with bronze hair like mine, and brown eyes like Bella. I was pulled away as my name was announce and clapping followed. I walked up on the stage infront of the hot light and smiled.

"Thank you. Really. It's an honnor to get recognized for something I 爱情 doing. My father, was the one that introduced me into helping people. Saving people, even. I remember thinking as a child...'Wow. He is like a super hero'. And he is. Has been for 37 years now.

"And now, I'm able to be that super hero. Kid's have always been a sweet spot for me." I smiled. "They are so innocent. Free. Not a care in the world. When they here war, the first thought is 'paint'. When they know they are sick, they take medicen and are back outside playing. And I'm the one that gets to do that for them.

"I get to give them high fives when they suffer through shots without crying. I get to tell them...how awesome they did. This being my first 年 at this hospital, I thank 你 all for welcoming me with your open arms and minds. Some 更多 than others." I winked at Bella. "Have a wonderful rest of your night." I nodded and exited with clapping behind me.

I walked back to my Bella and gave her a kiss, to wich everyone that saw, 'aw'ed. I picked up a sleeping Mason, 说 our goodbyes, got the last of congradulations, and finally left for home.

Back 首页 we put Mason to bed, stripped of our clothes and hopped into the 淋浴 together for some...'us' time. After our...time, I let her lather me up and wash my hair, and I did the same to her. Washing eachother was always 更多 intimate then sex. Always. It was 更多 tender...loving. And I could do it all day. But the water started running cold we I wrapped her in a fluffy towel, then myself and we changed into our pajamas.

She was finishing drying her hair when the doorbell rang. She turned the dryer of, giving me a puzzled look, then following me to the door and stood behind me as I answered it.

"Who are you?" They guy looked me up and down.

"Who are you." I looked him up and down as well. Baggy pants, big shirt, sideways hat...white.

"None of your buisness." He snapped.

"When 你 are knocking on mine and my fiance's door it's my buisness."

"Fiance?!"

"Yes." Bella pushed me aside. "Alec what are 你 doing here?"

"I got kicked out of my place." Alcec hing his head. "Ain't got no deploma. Don't have a job, don't have no money, can't pay no bills."

She sighed and opened the door wider to which he walked in.

"Let go of your pants." She told him.

"What?" We both asked her.

"Let go." She raised her eye brows.

He sighed and let go and they dropped to the floor. "Step out of them." He did as he was told and she picked them up shaking them. Only a pack of cigeretts fell out. She threw his pants back, which smaked them in his face, and picked up the cigeretts, drounding them in the sick before throwing them away.

"Bells!" He yelled.

"Shh!" She hissed. "Mason is alseep. And not in my house. Your only 17..you'll be able to smoke another time." She sighed openeing the closet, pulling out a 枕头 and a blanket. "Here. 你 can use the 长椅, 沙发 for now. Edward and I are going to bed. Goodnight." She pulled my hand up the stairs.

"Hey, guys." He called and we stopped to look at him. "Thank you."

Bella nodded and pulled me into her room. closing the door.

"Um, mind telling me what the hell is going on?" I asked.

"Alec Charles Swan. He's my half brother. My father was remarried there for a while but Jane died of liver failure. Before 你 ask, I didn't tell 你 before because he was gone. Alec ran away when he was fourteen. Right before Dad died. He would text me and Em, to tell us he was alright, but other than that, we didn't hear of him. I also did't tell 你 because I knew something like this would happen. He always did know how to make and intrence...and a good first impression." She rolled her eyes.

"He got into drugs, drinking, smoking. He had a hard time when Sue died."

I sighed and sat down on the bed. "How long does he need to stay?"

"As long as we let him." She laid down. "I want to make him stay. Get back in school, go to college, get a god job. Make something of himself."

"And how do 你 suggest we do that?" I asked laying down beside her.

"Locking him in and throwing away the key?" she smiled.

I nodded. "That might work."

"Can we talk 更多 tomorrow? I'm ready to sleep." She yawned.

"Of course." I kissed her head.

"And Edward?"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you."

"He's family, love." I shrugged. "Famly first."
