I stare up at the stage as they wait for everyone to be ready for the reaping. I hate the Capitol. I hate everyone who's even associated with the Capitol. I hate the reapings. And I hate the Hunger Games. I'm one of the very few people who don't like the Hunger Games here in District 3. Most people 爱情 the Hunger Games here. If they get chosen for it, they are usually celebrating about it later on. Some prepare for the Hunger Games for almost their whole life. Literally. As I'm 迷失 in thought, my name is called. "Adira Anderson!" I'm confused first, but then I'm just mad. I walk up to the stage, and try to put on a good face for the cameras. But I'm so mad it's really hard to. It was time for the male to be called up. "Come on...come on...let's hope it's not Dennis..." I thought quietly. Dennis was a total geek- he loved electronics, experimenting with them, and he often created deadly weapons. So I just hoped that he wouldn't be too good with weapons, just creating them. I obviously didn't want to be killed 由 my own district's male. That would be really embarrassing. But they call Dennis's name anyways. "Dennis Jones!" Dennis doesn't look too happy to be up there either, but he tries to put on a proud smile. He looks at me and smiles. He motions for me to take his hand, unexpectedly. He isn't really a ladies man. I reluctantly do so. He takes it and raises our arms in the air. We almost look like victors. Just almost.
