Chapter 3: 你 Just Couldn't Resist
Faye, Marco, and Trina, Faye's mom, were all situated on the couch. Faye had arrived 30 分钟 以前 to find her mom and Marco making out in the kitchen. They didn't even acknowledged that Faye had strolled in until she said, "Hey, I'm home!" When they finally noticed her, Trina 说 for her to sit on the couch. They had something big to tell her.
Faye sat in between Trina and Marco. "Okay, here goes. Marco is your father." Trina 说 as she shifted uncomfortably. She was a petite woman and didn't take up much 太空 but Faye felt suffocated already.
"I figured that out," replied Faye. She was trying to erase the traumatic scene of her mom and dad 接吻 on the 厨房 counter. It was going to be hard to live down. Maybe it was a bad idea to come home. "What I want to know is why he left 你 to raise Selena, Nico, and me."
"It's complicated," retorted Marco. Just then aloud beep came from Faye's phone. It was a text from Simone.
SIMMIE: Ok, my dad=bad guy. Your dad=spy 4 my dad. U do da math. Where R U?
Faye stared up at her father. A mixture of confusion and suspicion was all over her face. "Who was that?" Marco asked innocently. Faye didn't feel comfortable with him so close. Soon she started feeling dizzy. About 5 分钟 of that, she muttered something about sickness and ran to her bed. She dozed off soon after.
Late in the morning, Faye's phone was vibrating violently. When it clashed to the floor, Faye awoke immediately and grabbed her phone. She had various texts from Lauren, Simone, and Sidney. They each were wondering where she was. Lauren was conversing about how they were going to the 电影院 at 1:30pm and was wondering if she was going. Faye glanced at her alarm clock. It read 12:50. She had 40 分钟 to get there. She got dressed, brushed her teeth, had a bagel, and sped out the door and into a new Sudan.
Simone explained what she found out from examining her dad's yearbook the 下一个 morning. There was so much information from just his yearbook. It was shocking. She told the girls how their fathers were apart of this group called The Business Club but below the picture was the initials D.B.E. She tried looking them up online but it was blocked. She has no clue what the they stood for but it sounded secretive. Her father wrote a lot of 评论 in his yearbook. She showed them the X's that her father had written over many of the faces. Then a lot of other stuff also. The 评论 that she admired the most was the one talking about how a party started at Glynn Academy. Glynn Academy was very strict about keeping the place clean and making sure no one is allowed on the premises after school hours. They had even banned prom. If the students wanted a prom they would have to have it somewhere else. Maybe this party is to blame for them not having a prom at school. There were some pictures taped to the yearbook in the back where the autographs were suppose to be. There were about ten of them. Each one captured a different shot.
"Look there's Faye's mom!" Sidney pointed at a picture of a younger version of Faye's mom. It was amazing how mucho 嘿 were similar. We all knew she got her good looks from her mom but this confirmed it. Her mom still had those dark brown eyes and long black hair. She must have dyed her hair red last month. "God, she looks so young! What happened?"
"What do 你 think D.B.E stands for? Do 你 think it is something illegal?" Simone stared at each of them like they knew the answers.
"Who knows," 评论 Lauren. "Dumb Boys Eternal?"
"Dads Bring Easter," retorted Simone as she stared at the pictures.
"Daring Bad Eggs," 说 Sidney.
"Dead Boys Eat," replied Simone. Everyone laughed over the ludicrous ideas. Their dads weren't apart of anything illegal. They were pretty sure they would know about it except for Simone. She still had her doubts. She began questioning everything. Simone's dad still doesn't like it when she comes within a mile of the attic stairs. How was she to know anything about her father and his days at Glynn Academy. He could have done some illegal things. It wasn't odd. Most teenagers do stupid things when they were in high school. Why couldn't her dad just tell her instead of having her wonder though his personal items.
"What I don't get is why my dad lied. He always told me that he went to Brunswick High for most of his life. Why would he lie about something like that?" questioned Lauren. She was genuinely baffled. She wouldn't allow herself to think that her dad might have done something illegal. It would ruin the perfect image of her father.
"I have an amazing idea!" Sidney 说 as she leaped from her purple beanie bag. She grabbed her Windows laptop off the shelf and rested it on her lap when she was seated. "Lets look these people up and get all of our 答案 answered." It sounded like a good idea. Sometimes it is just best if people don't find out certain things. Everyone dragged their beanie bag closer to Sidney. "Give me the first person, Simone."
Simone flipped the page and pointed at a girl with sapphire blue eyes and a pleasant smile. She looked plain but beautiful at the same time. "Hellen Maunders." Sidney did some typing on her computer. She came up with a 脸谱 page and clicked the link.
When the 个人资料 picture came up, it looked exactly like her high school picture. The same short hair with bangs, same sapphire eyes, and same pleasant but naughty smile. The only difference were the laugh lines. "She has barely aged!" 说 Simone as she stared in disbelief at the 个人资料 picture.
"Leave her a message," 说 Lauren.
"Okay!" Sidney sent the girl a picture of Simone's father and some questions. She was posing as a friend of Simone's dad. "Done."
They had to wait for Hellen to reply. They knew she was on since she recently 发布 a picture of her dog, Mason, in a tux. Apparently, Mason was taking a certain poodle on a date. Her 老友记 评论 n it saying how adorable he looked. The girls would disagree with those statements. Simone 说 that Hellen must be really lame now because all she does is set up dates for her dog. Finally, the girls went to sleep.
About an 小时 later, there was a beep from Sidney's computer. Lauren was the only one who heard it. The others were taking a nap. She set up and yawned. It was exactly what she expected. They received a message from Hellen.
HELLEN: I remember Jason Rivers. God! That man was malicious! Everyone either hated him 或者 trusted him. I personally hated him. Don't tell him I 说 that, he'll KILL ME. If you're his friend why are 你 asking me all these things? Are 你 a spy? 你 are just like Marco. Oops, 说 too much.
After 阅读 the message, Lauren woke the others. They each thought the same thing, whoa. Hellen was utterly frightened of Mr. Rivers. He wasn't that terrifying to Lauren but then again, Lauren has never been on his bad side. She couldn't see what Hellen was feeling right now 或者 even comprehend it. Simone was the most shocked about the newly found information. She could not accept her father as a killer. He was and always will be the lovable teddy 熊 she came to know. He may be difficult sometimes but he couldn't be a killer.
"Let's try another one," suggested Simone. "How about Madison Faulkner?" Sidney googled the name and again she received a 脸谱 page. She asked the same 问题 she asked Hellen. About ten 分钟 later, they obtained a reply.
MADISON: I already gave Jason his money years ago. Why do 你 keep looking for me?! I will see 你 in court if 你 want 更多 money! I'll do it! I'm not as spineless as I was in high school.
Everyone was speechless but inside were a million of 问题 unanswered. Hellen and Madison were both frightened of Simone's father but why? He wasn't an evil man. He was a simple father who enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids. Sure Simone could be hard to handle but he never got 交叉, 十字架 with her. Mr. Rivers was nothing like those women 说 he was and Simone was going to prove it one way 或者 another.
"How could 你 be so stupid!" yelled Sidney's dad. He was the type to get in a raging fit from time to time. Lauren always thought he had some type of anger disorder. Sidney did loved him but she was still horrified of him. "All I 说 was for 你 to pick up some 食物 and 你 come back here with this?!" There was a loud thud and then some moaning. Unfortunately, everyone was use to that sound.
This happens a lot in the Stone household. Mr. Stone would argue with his frail wife and she would not do anything about it. Mrs. Stone would take the beating and apologize even if she did nothing wrong. Mrs. Stone loved him too much to turn him in. Others would say she was too scared of him to turn him in. Sidney and her grandmother had to deal with screams of pain and the cries of anger. They couldn't 报道 him, they were to scared of him also. Simone, however, hated it when she had to here it. "I have an idea," 说 Simone. They all gathered in a huddle. She told the entire plan she had just thought up during the noise.
About an 小时 later, after Mr. Stone was done shrieking, Simone, Lauren, and Sidney were sneaking into Mr. Stone's bathroom. "Okay, Sid, where is your dad's medicine cabinet?" Sidney ushered them over to a small cabinet filled with different medicine bottles. She got the one all the way in the corner.
Simone lifted a tiny box filled with pills. She dumped Mr. Stone's medicine and replaced it with the tiny pills in the box. "There, he should be sick when he takes the medicine."
"What the heck are those?" asked Lauren
"Laxatives." Simone smiled with pride. She was going to give this man the biggest stomach ache he'll ever have. "The best part is that this is only phase one of my plan. Phase two will happen when we and your gran go to that movie that just came out. She 说 she was going to take us today."
"I don't know, Simone. It always backfires. Let's just forget it," 说 Sidney.
"They say revenge is a dish best serve cold." Lauren rubbed her bony fingers together in an evil way. "It is okay Sid. This plan will work. If it doesn't, we'll blame it on Faye."
Faye, Marco, and Trina, Faye's mom, were all situated on the couch. Faye had arrived 30 分钟 以前 to find her mom and Marco making out in the kitchen. I wrote this a while back, for my language arts class. Please don't copy, enjoy!!!:)
Don't be careless
About the world
Many people are penniless
They have nowhere to go
Generations through generations
Our numbers subtract
Stand up and fight
We are not powerless
Together we unite
And restore our happiness
Come on let's be earnest
We can improve academically
显示 that we care
Our people need compassion
We live and love
And we think of above
Forever and ever
We will be together
No matter how wicked
或者 cruel we can be
We all live and die
In this democracy on Earth
Don't be careless
About the world
Many people are penniless
They have nowhere to go

Reality hurts, I have experience
It makes 你 feel free, and then drags 你 to the ground
It tells 你 that everything will be ok
Later it crushes all hope and faith
It makes 你 see what 你 want to see
Let’s 你 feel what 你 want to feel
It puts 你 in those “oh snap” positions
It laughs at 你 in the face for your mistakes
It can help 你 find 爱情 或者 heartbreak
In the end reality gives 你 the same outcome
The very outcome 你 tried to avoid
Reality doesn’t control me, I refuse to be destroyed
It makes 你 feel free, and then drags 你 to the ground
It tells 你 that everything will be ok
Later it crushes all hope and faith
It makes 你 see what 你 want to see
Let’s 你 feel what 你 want to feel

Yeah Uhuh

(Verse 1)
I am in 爱情
with the guy who is sweet
till we meet it isn't possible
(Chorus)
We need to meet
before we go Undercover
for each other
We need to meet
before we go Undercover
for each other
(Verse 2)
We haven't met yet
Still Single hearted
thinkin' 'bout each other
everyday
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
Now & Then
Everyday, going separate
paths and ways
thinkin' we need to meet
in the middle before we go Undercover
(Pre-Chorus)
We never stopped goin'
separate paths and ways
passing broken hearts and scars
I'm gone, gone, gone, gone
Now,
(Chorus)
(Chorus)
I can't stand it any longer
goin' all crazy
when I get really lazy
Undercover
(Verse 1)
We need to meet before we go Undercover
Yeah Uhuh

Slowly,
Hand in hand,
We stroll towards the beautiful beach,
Never taking our eyes off the red sky.
We are together now,
And we face anything that will take us on,
With determination and unity,
Slowly.
The wave washes us into the ocean,
Taking us in,
Slowly, killing us bit 由 bit,
But we never let go of each other.
When we are together,
We will never die.
There is no chance of that,
It is impossible.
The power of being together
Surges into both of our souls,
And the angry waves crash against
Our faces,
But we still never let go.
We are undivided.
Nothing, ever, can keep us apart,
或者 even separate us.
Because, 你 see,
We are bound.
We are bound
由 the ropes of love,
Forever.
Nothing,
No one,
Can cut those ropes.
Not now,
And not ever.
Hand in hand,
We stroll towards the beautiful beach,
Never taking our eyes off the red sky.
We are together now,
And we face anything that will take us on,

I look down at the snow below
Thinking of its familiar glow
I remember the trees that tore at my wet clothes
And the horrid wind that stung my nose
I tripped and had fell to weak to move
Thinking I had nothing to lose
My eyes began to close and I started to drift away
My mind refusing to disobey
It took me 由 the hand and I felt warm
Almost glad to be taken 由 the storm
Now I watch from up above wondering what I did wrong
And why I was one chosen to sing the 天使 song
Thinking of its familiar glow
I remember the trees that tore at my wet clothes
And the horrid wind that stung my nose
I tripped and had fell to weak to move
Thinking I had nothing to lose
My eyes began to close and I started to drift away
My mind refusing to disobey
It took me 由 the hand and I felt warm
Almost glad to be taken 由 the storm
Now I watch from up above wondering what I did wrong
And why I was one chosen to sing the 天使 song
With nails so black scraping away at rotting church pews
I tell 你 I 爱情 你 更多 than myself
But to understand, from me 你 shall receive neither money nor wealth
What 你 搜索 for is not emotion 或者 passion, it’s much 更多 precise
It’s the golden fortune which comes with a price
So 你 take the deal and strike my head
Your beating heart, now made of lead
Allow me the peace of mind to soften the last deadly blow
Perhaps this is how our story ends of 你 the Raven and I the Crow
(Crows and Ravens, in European legends are known to symbolize death)
I will remember 你 always.
Will 你 remember me?
That is a 问题 for 你 to answer,
And not me.
I promise
That I will always
Keep the flame of memory alive.
The fun that we had will never
Be forgotten.
Even on foggy evenings,
The darkest of nights,
你 will always be in my heart.
For I know that 你 will help me
Keep the flame of memory blazing
Always.
All the good times that we had,
All the fun that we had,
All the tears that we let out,
All the anger we let out
Will never be wasted.
Because every 分钟 of it
Is in my heart.
I will tend to the 火, 消防
Every night,
Recollecting all the memories we have
Knowing that the flame of memory
Is the brightest flame of all
And it will blaze on.
Will 你 remember me?
That is a 问题 for 你 to answer,
And not me.
I promise
That I will always
Keep the flame of memory alive.
The fun that we had will never

I am a broken-winged eagle
Who cannot fly
Because I have set no goal for myself.
Other people laugh and scoff at me,
And I know that I must quickly find something
To hope for.
Everyday I think,
"What's the use? Nothing is my talent. Give up."
People think I am nothing but stupid,
But I can see that light within myself.
I have not yet soared.
I have not yet found my dream.
One day, I find something unique to dream for.
Writing.
Something that can take me to faraway places
Anywhere, beyond this universe.
And now I can soar.
Far, far, faraway
Where no one can catch me.
Where no one can disturb me.
Where I can be free.
Where I will no longer be
A broken-winged eagle.
Who cannot fly
Because I have set no goal for myself.
Other people laugh and scoff at me,
And I know that I must quickly find something
To hope for.
Everyday I think,
