After LaToya, my half sister, moved in with me, my father, Brooke, and her mother, things got a little crazy. How? Well she always goes on a rampage when we have 沙拉 nights. She always complains about where's the meat. Then she has her hip hop 音乐 blasted in her room, and whenever 你 walk in, you'll see her either twerking, taking selfies, 或者 updating her Twitter.

Most of the time, to stay away from her ghettoness, I go to the park and draw under the tree. Same thing over and over again. But this time was different.

This is what happened: I walked in the park, planted myself down under the tree, looked around to see what to draw, and BAM. I see the most amazing looking guys I've seen in my lifetime. I'm usually not into guys, but he was different. He was tall, African American. He was average, but for some reason he caught my eye. He was jogging down a path.

I found myself staring and I found him look at me. Get the look, Reagen! I told myself in my head. I raised my eyebrow at him- the normal look I give to guys that look at me. The look that shows I'm better than them... But I'm not, and I know I'm not. I'm not self-centered like LaToya.

"Huh?" I heard him say as if he was confused on what I was doing.

The 下一个 thing 你 know he hit into a 树 and fell on the ground. I didn't know what to do- Keep my "self-centered" personality on, 或者 be a nice person and help him. Through Eenie Meenie Minie Moe, I chose to be a nice person. I dropped on my stuff and ran to help him up. I was speechless on how attractive he looked up close. I blushed.

"Owwww...." he moaned. "My head......"

The ice cream truck went by. I ran up to it and pulled out my $2. I bought a sno-cone- a substitute for an ice pack. Very resourceful, Reagen. I complimented myself in my head.

I went back to him and put it on his head. He was okay enough to hold it up to it himself. He got up, I got up. He was so much taller up close. I'm starting to think things get better when you're up close and personal with them.

"Thanks for the, uh, sno-cone," he thanked sort of jokingly. I still gave him the look. "Um..... So what's your name?" I 说 nothing. "Okay... Well I'm Terrence. Maybe you'd like to talk to me after a 篮球 game." He handed me a ticket. It was to one of his 篮球 games that were tomorrow. "You going?" I nodded slightly. "Thanks! We can talk on the bleachers there when I'm all done with the game and changing."

He checked his watch. "Oh, I gotta go. My mom wants me 首页 for lunch. See 你 tomorrow?"

I nodded to him.

"Okay. Bye," he waved, and then started jogging home, still holding onto the sno-cone.

I smiled. Hey, why wouldn't I? I just got invited to a date! But then again, I don't think I'm ready for dating.. I don't think I'm ready for sharing my emotions with someone else...
