I've been hearing a lot 由 粉丝 shouting "Who's idea was it to name every one after food?!?! 1.mint 2.lettuce WTHF?!?! This ones the worst 3.pudding Only Zakuro 或者 wateva and Ichigo are the closest to normal" (Real comment.)

So here I'm going to explain all of the main characters' names.

As 你 all know, the mews and aliens are named after food, but the mews and the other males are named also with colours (with the exception of Zakuro)

Here I go.

The Mew Mews

Momomiya Ichigo:
Momomiya = 桃子 shrine. (Momo can also mean pink)
Ichigo = Strawberry.

Aizawa Minto:
Aizawa = Dark Blue Swamp
Minto = Mint (Obviously xD)

Midorikawa Retasu
Midorikawa = Green River
Retasu = Lettuce

Huang Bu-Ling (a.k.a. Fong Purin)
Huang = Yellow
Bu-Ling = Walking Bell
(The Japanese pronunciation of "Bu-Ling is Purin, which turns into Pudding)

Fujiwara Zakuro
Fujiwara = Wisteria Field
Zakuro = 石榴

Non-Anime/Manga Mews

Shirayuki Berii
Shirayuki = White Snow
Berii = Berry

Akaii Ringo
Akaii = Nice Red (ii = good/nice)
Ringo = Apple

The Aliens (These are quite obvious)

Kisshu = Quiche

Taruto = Tart

Pai = Pie

The others

Shirogane Ryou
Shiro = White

Akasaka Keiichiro
Aka = Red
