Lady_Ziva Sammy’s Top Six favorite Tony/Ziva moments: No. 6 Yeah, yeah, it’s a bad cliché, but you know what, I just have to mention this scene in my favorite moments because it is just that - one of my favorite moments between them, and it never fails to get me all hot and tingly, no matter how often I watch it. When I saw it for the first time, even the bad German dub laid the foundation to me being where I am now, even though I was neck deep into m/m shipping back then. It showed me there isn’t a mere partnership between these two, there’s also a quite sexual spark between them… and god, yes, they gave us some real eye candy there…! But you know what, this isn’t the reason this scene is in here. The reason it’s in here is because it shows how natural even that sort of “working with each other” comes to them. How the physical contact is second nature to them and they never once stop to say “hey, hands off the X area!” here. Yeah, she knees him at one point because a certain part of his anatomy got a little too excited, but she still never backs away, she never stops touching him, she actually kisses him after that. (Do I believe the rumor this episode was originally written with Kate in mind? Fuck, no. Not one second, because Kate would have never played with him like that. She’d never even kissed him.) So yes, this is a clear challenge between them - almost like a game they play just to test the boundaries between them. To allow themselves to have an awful lot of fun with touching the other under the pretense of a mere job - and because they both know this doesn’t mean anything, they press the intimacy just that little bit further with each touch, with each glance. And that’s the thing that really gets me when I watch this scene - every single time: the incredible physical intimacy between them, even though they barely knew each other back then. The way his hand grabs her neck and goes for her hair, like they have done this a hundred times. The way he holds her hair out of her face when she rolls on top. The way he keeps holding her hair back, even after she kicks him. The way she doesn’t hesitate at all when she kisses him or when she puts her cheek to his chest or plays with his chest hair. So here's a short little excerpt from my new Tiva fic! (the one involving Truth questions, whiskey and Skittles 哈哈 :P) I hope 你 girls like it! I might post the whole thing once it's done :)
