An 象, 大象 was walking between Kelsey and Amber, while they headed to an unknown destination. “Where exactly are we going?” Amber asked. “We’ve been walking for hours. I’m hungry” she complained.
“There’s plenty of 食物 around” Kelsey said, waving her arm. “You mean like a rabbit?” Amber asked disgusted. “Yes, Am, like a rabbit” Kelsey confirmed. “Come on, we have to get moving”
“Where are we going?” Amber repeated her most urgent question.
“To a 安全 place” Kelsey answered, with a whiff of fear in her voice. “I need to get 你 somewhere safe”
“Safe?” Amber scorned. “I have fangs, I think I know how to defend myself, thank 你 very much” For the first since hours Kelsey held her steps and turned around. “You’re not invincible. There is always something stronger than 你 and it will get to you, 给 the chance. Everyone has their weak spot and you’re not an exception. So, instead of 表演 like you’re untouchable, 你 can take me seriously, quit complaining and 移动 faster, because I don’t want to be responsible if anything happens to you”
“Why would anything happen to me?” Amber asked, grabbing Kelsey’s arm so she couldn’t turn around and walk further. “You’ve been worrying about me for days, but 你 won’t tell me why. And no way I’m the buying the ‘The Salvatore Brothers are dangerous’ story. You’ll have to do better than that” she said, her voice nearly breaking down.
“I told you, you’re not ready” Kelsey 说 avoiding
“And I think I am” Amber said, getting angry. “You know what? If you’re not prepared to tell me the truth, I don’t think I can trust you. And so I’m not sure I’m 安全 with you”
“What are 你 trying to say?” Kelsey said.
“What I’m trying to say is, wherever you’re going, 你 can go alone” Amber said. “I can and will take care of myself”
That being 说 she turned around and raced away, leaving Kelsey stunned.
