The past week I have been feeling off, the nightmares kept getting worse and worse. I could only connect it with one thing, my Birthday. My Birthdays before never seemed... well normal. And I had a bad feeling about this birthday, it seemed worse than the other ones, I couldn’t quite place what exactly but I knew something was up.

Chapter 4: Renaissance

"Riley come on and get up sleepyhead!" a familiar voice ran in my ears as i felt someone shaking me. i groaned and squinted and slowly opened my eyes.

once i had adjusted to the brightness, in my line of vision was my mother's calm face. i blinked and leaned up wrapping my arms around her.

it felt nice to see her again, things seemed to get better when she was around, even since i was little. my mom was the one person i knew i could depend on, and no matter what, she would make me feel better.
