Yes, The Beatles are banned from Youtube.

We got some serious sad news. The Beatles got terminated from youtobe due to a copyright claim 由 UMG_MK (which make no sense and UMG_MK does not even exist). And no, Universal 音乐 Group did not do it. And after all, The Beatles is owned 由 EMI Records Ltd. I also found out that McCKLENN 发布 episodes of the Beatles cartoon show. UMG_MK claimed the video and gave McCKLENN three copyright strikes. That means he was terminated from Youtube. And also, Supercalifregilestic got a full copyright strike because UMG_MK claimed his 迪士尼 DTV video with the Beatles in All 你 Need is Love. Which is totally BS. Now I just found out that I am sick and tired of this whole Copyright nazis and that stupid warning video with Happy 树老友记 on a lecture on Copyright. And I know a lot of 你 guys who 发布 The Beatles on youtobe had been forced to watch "Happy 树 Friends: youtobe Copyright Lawsuit School". And I hated that episode.

BuddyBoy600alt Yeah, And they cannot claim The Beatles. It is not okay to claim content that you do not own. And it's under fair use and a lot of users are getting copyright strike and is forced to watch "Happy Tree Friends: Youtube Copyright Lawsuit School" and take trivia questions about Copyright.

glelsey EMI was actually acquired by UMG, who currently own the rights to Beatles merchandise (just to clear that up). But you're right in that UMG_UK does not exist! The UK extension of UMG is just called Universal Music. It doesn't have the "Group" part in its name. They usually shorten their name to "Umusic". Also, I don't know if the UK extension has anything to do with The Beatles. Paul McCartney is currently signed up with them as a solo artist, but I think that's all. So even if they had got the name right for the UK department, any copyright claims should be coming from the American one anyway. Not that the copyright claims [i]did[/i] come from the real company, because you don't complain about a copyright breach on official content to begin with!

BuddyBoy600alt Other thing I forgot to mention. It's not like how WMG (Warner Music Group) terminated Aerosmith's official Youtube account. When I went to their Youtube account, It reads "Aerosmithofficial has been terminated because we received multiple or severe third-party claims of Copyright Infringement regarding the material the user has posted."

glelsey Ah, I see that now! Sorry, I must have misread it earlier. Just did a quick search and apparently this UMG_MK have been blocking Rammstein too. Looks like the Beatles Vevo is still standing, but I'm guessing many of their videos got taken down, and they aren't allowed to post any more? There are currently 4 videos on their Vevo.

KMBrown1970 Sorry to up a 4-month old post, but I had to vent. My Dad & I danced to 'In My Life' at my wedding reception. Just went to watch the vid my inlaws posted, and it has been blocked.
