I mean there are certain shows I watch that aren't totally that way, like 24, but usually the reason I get invested in a show is because of a couple.

Take my favorite show for example. Before Chuck and Blair, I liked it but I was just like 'eh, whatever' It wasn't until after I really started to love them, that I was totally into it.

Another example? Jate's palpable chemistry was the reason I even took it upon myself to watch Lost in the first place!

It really depends on the show. In comedies, the couples usually aren't as serious so I don't take them as seriously (though there are exceptions, of course!). But in dramas the relationships are the basis of the show so it's important that there are relationships that I really love for me to keep watching.

Actually this is true. I'm more invested in Chuck than Chair.... But if Chuck wasn't involved in any sort of romantic relationship, I don't know how much I would love the show.

Of course that's not ALL I care about but it's a big thing.

I stay with a show for a character/characters. I'm very invested in the couples I love, but they definitely aren't the #1 reason.

Sometimes the main reason I love a show is for a couple but not always. Like I watch Supernatural, but not for any particular couples.
