Him Again?
I can not believe I signed up for this. Total Drama Island! Ugh! I do not need this. My boyfriend, Duncan, just dumped me, therefore kicking me out of his house, where I lived with his family because a 年 以前 I killed my abusive dad and Mom was arrested. He kept me out of the foster system, but now I’m in it, and living with the Jone’s. Marylyn Jone was my foster mother; Gaven was my younger brother, and I had no faster father. I have been living with them for about eight months. And now I have to go on this stupid reality show! “Ok, Mary! I’m off!” I call Marylyn “Mary” I can’t call her mom, and Marylyn is just too long. I walked to the bus stop were I saw… Duncan. I still walked with my black luggage, and he saw me. He started to smile, and saw my frown. “Why is your hair like that?” He asked, but not in a snotty way. Like he actually cared. “Its 水鸭, 蓝绿色, 深青色 and black. Are 你 blind?” I responded. Yep, my hair is 水鸭, 蓝绿色, 深青色 and black now. It’s shorter too. Anyway, I looked back at Duncan and he said, “Well, Sunshine? 你 gonna sit down 或者 what?” I shot him daggers and he raised his hands defensively. He had a can of something… “Beer?” He shook his head. “Coke. Want some?” I turned around and started to head home. Then the bus came. Duncan gave me a look like gotcha. I rolled my eyes and walked onto the bus.
I was on the 船, 小船 when Duncan got a boom box out and sat his foot on the top. Suddenly rock 音乐 was playing. I loved this song, and didn’t complain. Until Courtney Davis shut off the song. He gave her a smirk. Then a thought struck me He…likes her? It wasn’t the kind of girl he likes normally but… “Are 你 kidding me?” I heard myself yell. Everyone looked at me funny except Duncan. He looked like he hated to see me hurt. I walked onto the deck of the 船, 小船 were I heard the host, Chris McLean, introduce me. “And Gwen!” I walked out and saw the cruddy camp. “Oh I did not sign up for this.” Chris pulled out a stack of papers I instantly knew was my contract. I took it from his hands and ripped it. He pulled out a new stack. “The great thing about lawyers is, they make lots of copies.” I cursed under my breath, and continued along the dock. I knew I was going to hate this place.
We took the tour and the first thing horrible about this camp is that the cabins were co-ed. Boys on one side of the cabin, girls on the other. Then there were the showers. Ew. Then I herd an ear-piercing scream. I walked into the 舱, 小木屋 and saw Barbie-Girl Lindsey on a chair with a roach about five feet away from her. “Kill it, kill it, kill it!” She screamed. Then Duncan came up with an axe and I saw Miss Bitc- I mean CIT go all misty-eyed. Duncan swung the axe and the roach was chopped in half. I even had to smile at that until Chris came in and said, “Challenge time! Grab your swimsuits and meet me at the hilltop.”
I looked around. Duncan was just swimming in his jeans, a lot of the girls had skimpy bikinis, I was wearing a tankini, and Chris was in his regular clothes. Oh, did I forget to mention I was on the Screaming Gophers? Horrible name I know. Owen, Gwen, Beth, Trent, Justin, LeShawna, Heather, Cody, Noah, Lindsay, and Izzy. Anyway, Chris and his annoying bullhorn decided to call Owen to take the first plunge. He walked up with floaties on his arms and said, “I’m going to die now. I’m going to totally die now!”
