“Fans are my 最喜爱的 thing in the world. I’ve never been the type of artist who has that line drawn between their 老友记 and their fans. The line’s always been really blurred for me. I’ll hang out with them after the show. I’ll hang out with them before the show. If I see them in the mall, I’ll stand there and talk to them for 10 minutes. I don’t care. I’m just a senior in high school who has a better job. Who am I to think I’m better than talking to people?”
“I 爱情 it when people say things to me in public and want to meet me, because I want to meet them! Early on, my manager told me, “If 你 want to sell 500,000 records, then go out there and meet 500,000 people.”

“You know what, if they don’t want me to write bad songs about them, they shouldn’t do bad things.”

(On Drew, the guy she wrote Teardrops on my 吉他 about) “My dad was all “Taylor there are two guys coming up the driveway” I looked and it was Drew! I guess this was the whole “I know the song is about me, still interested?” I mean if he hears the song and heroicly shows up, I mean that’s great, but two years later- You’re a little late!”
(On if she was going to keep driving 由 Joe Jonas’ house after they broke up, as she usually does) “He has a lot of body gaurds. They’re very tall, so uh, no.”
“My mom and I have always been really close. She’s always been the friend that was always there. There were times when, in middle school and junior high, I didn’t have a lot of friends. But my mom was always my friend. Always.”
(When asked how she had the courage to walk up to record labels when she was twelve and thirteen) It’s because I could never feel the kind of rejection in the 音乐 industry that I felt in middle school.”
“I’m intimidated 由 the fear of being average.”
“And Kenny Chesney is so completely nice. Genuinely nice. Like, we were all sitting around the bus after the 显示 and he came up and sat down and talked to us for a while.. and before he left he 说 “I’m going to get something to eat, y’all want anything?” Like, simple things like that.. It’s just.. really nice. And I really really like nice people.”
“I pulled out my iPod and randomly selected a Grey’s Anatomy episode to watch the pass the time.. And it randomly selected the episode where Denny dies, and so I started hysterically crying and couldn’t stop for about ten minutes. (He was my 最喜爱的 character, hands down. Why’d he have to die?) For the the record, this is the first time I’ve cried in a VERY long time. So I figure if the only reason I have to cry is a TV show, I must be pretty lucky.”
“When 你 talk about virginity and sex publicly, people just automatically picture 你 naked.”
“(On her win at the 2007 CMT 音乐 Awards) I cannot believe this is happening right now. This is for my MySpace people and everybody who voted. The fans, y’all, I’m going out on tour with Brad 佩斯利 and this is coming with me to every single [autograph] signing line so 你 can get a picture of the award 你 won for me. Thank 你 so much.”
(Upon winning the CMA Horizon Award) “This is definitely the highlight of my senior year!”
“I put absolutely everything I have into this album. These are songs I wrote in my bedroom. I worked on this album for two years, and I can’t believe my name was called! Getting to write every song on an album and having it voted album of the 年 is an indescribable honor.”
“On being nominated for a CMT award I’m so excited, but really nervous, too! I’ve never been nominated for anything before. I’ve sat in the nosebleed section watching the CMT Awards for two years in a row now, looking down and hoping that maybe if I worked hard enough, I’d get to sit in the awesome seats the nominees get to sit in. And it looks like that’s going down this year!”
