It was very sad when Data died. It hit me hard because when I saw the movie I had just lost my father to heart failure six months earlier. Anyway, Data was my favorite character next to Will Riker.

I was devastated until I found out that he actually lives because, ultimately, he ended up completely overwriting B4.
Oh, and I don't care it's not considered 'canon' just because it's not in the TV shows or movies, but only on comics, books and games. ;)
