It's Complicated Chapter Twenty Six
I was trying to stay out of the house as much as possible. But I had to invite Jasper over to be nice. Although Jake and his crew were there it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. But than again I had to tell them not to be so loud. I guess they were watching football 或者 something and decided to be extra loud. Along with extra annoying.
"I am really sorry about the noise," I 说 as I apologized to Jasper yet again, "Jake just hates me 或者 something."
"It is okay," he laughed, "it is easy to ignore!"
"Are 你 sure," I asked, "I could get Billy to make them go 首页 或者 at least turn the game down!"
"No, it is okay," Jasper said, "it is getting late; I better get going!"
"Okay, see 你 at school tomorrow," I said.
"Bye," Jasper 说 as he hugged me.
"See ya later," I smiled.
I could not believe that Jasper just hugged me. He hugged me!!
Tonight turned out to be pretty good after all!
"Jacob, would it have been so hard to not be as loud. Some of us have homework to do," I stated.
"Shut up and go away," he said.
"Why are 你 being so difficult," I asked, "all I ask is to a little bit of quietness so Jasper and I could do homework!"
"I 说 go away," Jake 说 as he got up.
"Would it kill 你 to answer my question," I asked.
Jake walked over to me. I was having to look up because he was towering over me.
"Just because 你 tower over me does not mean that 你 scare me," I 说 in my bravest voice possible.
"Go to your room and stop fussing," he demanded.
"Answer my 问题 first," I demanded just as demanding as Jake did.
"Go away 或者 else," he threatened.
"I am so scared," I Sao sarcastically, "what is the 'or else'?"
"Lila, just leave me and my 老友记 alone and stop being such a brat," Jake yelled as hit me across the face.
I fell to my feet and held my cheek in my hand. I looked up at Jake in shock.
"Jacob Black, what have 你 done," Billy asked as he came over to me.
"She started it! I warned her," Jake 说 as he sat back down on the couch.
I look over at Embry; my eyes filled with tears. I got up and walked to my room. Once the tears started flowing, I could not get them to stop.
"Lila," Billy 说 as he knocked on the door.
"Yes sir," I asked.
"May I come in," he asked as he opened the door.
"Sure," I shrugged.
"Lila, I am so sorry! I have no idea what has gotten into Jake lately," he 说 as there was another knock on the door.
It was Embry. What on earth did he want?
"May I come in," he asked hopeful.
"I guess," I said.
"I know it will be okay with my parents and it does not matter what Jake thinks; but would 你 like to spend a couple of days at my house," Embry asked.
I looked at Billy hopeful, "I would 爱情 to! If it is okay with Billy!"
"I think that would be a great idea," Billy 说 somewhat relieved.
"I live close to school so 你 can just follow me 首页 tonight and then leave from my house to go to school," he said.
"Oh thank you, Embry," I 说 as I hugged him.
I hurried and gathered some clothes to wear to school tomorrow and for the following days.
A break from Jacob is just what I needed!
I had my bag of clothes in a backpack that I would have on backwards and then had my 图书 on my back. Hopefully, it would equal out okay.
I just hope that everyone will think that the bruising on my cheek is from 篮球 and not Jake. I also hope that school goes 由 extra slow too! 或者 this whole week go 由 slow!
