Sherlock woke to find himself all stitched up, but his brother was no where to be seen.
'Excuse me, nurse? Where's Mycroft Holmes?'

'He's my older brother.'
'He's in surgery at the moment.'

'He has third degree burns much like yourself but since he has cancer their worried the explosion could have caused something to enter his immune system which is pretty weak from the kimo.'

'Thank you.' As the nurse left, Joan came in. 'Joan?'
'Sherlock!.' She hugged but he winced. 'Sorry. I thought i'd 迷失 你 again.'

'Lestrade sent a e-mail to the airline explaining everything, they were extra careful on my part,I almost had a 心 attack when they told...If 你 died...'
'Hey...I'm fine...It's Mycroft we need to worry about...He's in surgery.'
'What for?'
'They're worried something in the blast may have effected his cancer.'
'He's dying?' Sherlock nodded, she saw tears forming in his eyes. 'Sherlock...' She pulled him into a hug as he let the tears fall. 'I'm sorry.'

'I hope so.'
'And i take it.. this little one will be my nephew?'
Joan nodded. She took his hand and placed it on her tummy. The baby kicked. 'Hello, little one.' Joan smiled.
'I think he's going to like you.'
'Joan..If 你 don't mind..I would like sometime alone time with my brother.'
'Of course. I'll be back in bit.' She kissed Sherlock on the cheek and left them alone.
'You keep a hold of her Sherlock.'

The nurse took Joan to a private room where she and Sherlock could wait till she was ready to go to the delivery room.

He held her hand through her contractions, he's never seen her in that much pain before. Every few 分钟 a nurse came in too check on her, she still was dilated enough.

'Wheelchairs are not as well guarded as they use to be.'

'Well, if it's alright with you...I would like to meet my nephew.' A nurse came out.

A couple hours later, Joan had phoned all her relatives and Sherlock had phoned his father. Joan couldn't believe it but she was glad they were now on speaking terms. A moment later, Gregson entered along with Lestrade.
