Dara cast as a North Korean in KBS drama \'Missing Korea\' opposite Kim Jung Hoon

2NE1 Dara\'s acting chops are being put to work! 

YG Entertainment revealed on September 15 that she was confirmed for KBS\'s one-act drama, \'Missing Korea,\' in which she would be the lead, the North Korean representative for the Miss Korea pageant.  

The drama will take place in a fictional 2020 in which both North and South Korea are exchanging civilities and cooperating economically.  In order to also share in culture, the countries decide to host the very first North and South Korean joint Miss Korea competition. Despite the political background it appears to have, the drama will primarily be a romance comedy.  After the one-act drama airs in October, it will meet the public once again in a web drama format.

Currently, Dara is practicing the North Korean dialect in order to portray her character. You\'re going to get to see a completely dolled up Dara, tiara and all, for the drama! Starring opposite her will be Kim Jung Hoon as the head of the organizing committee for the competition.

The production crew relayed that the drama will be airing around the same time when the North and South Korean families would reunite.

I misread Kim Jung Hoon as Kim Jung Un and ended up having questions about this drama. lol

whats one-act drama though? i guess itll be short... then again i love it if its short as im very impatient hahaha

Can\'t wait. I love her acting...She has a very captivating screen presence that one keeps staring at her... She is not the best actress around but ether is quite charm to her that it is undeniable... 

I might be hated for this but I really cannot watch any of her drama. The first time i watched her drama it felt like a soft slap rather than a punch and truthfully i got bored. I am a person that if i don\'t like a acting style or story line i will not watch it even if my favorite actor is doing it. 

What did you watch? She\'s only done 2 web dramas so far. I didn\'t care for Dr. Ian so much myself but I did enjoy watching We Broke Up. I\'m also a bit picky when it comes to watching dramas because you have to devote a lot of time to it. Missing Korea sounds interesting, though. And it\'s only a one-act drama so if it ends up bad you wouldn\'t have wasted too much time on it.

This is almost scary. everything I\'ve always wanted for individual YG fam artists is happening right now (except Minzy\'s solo of course), and I am as proud and thankful as ever been.

what\'s a \'one-act drama?\'  does that mean this is only one episode long?

I can\'t wait! No doubt Dara will do great. Hopefully there\'s more and bigger roles for Dara in the future!
