Who honestly thinks that Vanessa Hugens was any good in RENT?

I honestly want to know what everyone thinks on the subject. Was Vanessa any good at the Holywood bowl and why (she was 或者 wasn't)?
I think that she sucked, but I'd like to know if anyone thought she did 或者 didn't

All I really have to say is just that the reason why I couldn't stand her was because she just wasn't Mimi to me. She was too pop and not enough rock n' roll and she seemed to be a rebellious teenager, not a junkie stripper. She just wasn't Mimi. She got the character totally wrong...Just sayin'

That's cool. My friend Macy wasn't too fond of her either, but my cousin Alisha loved her as well, so to each her own. I thought she got the character pretty good.

I think that if 你 decide to take a part in something like this (RENT), 你 must know how to act and sing. Broadway isn't 迪士尼 Chanel. She wasn't ready. I hope all these bad reviews were a good therapy shock for her!

Exactly what I thought :) RENT is rough and edgy, and 迪士尼 channel is bubbly (no offence to anyone who likes it :P). They aren't even close to being the same, and to me she still hasn't grown out of her "bubbly" stage

I wasnt able to see the 显示 live, but I have seen most of her musical performances from the 显示 on youtube. I actually quite enjoyed them. Yes, they were flawed, but that is part of a live performance. When I read some of the 评论 on the performances, it was clear to me that many of these people watched the performance with the full intention of insulting her performance before they even saw it.

Well, I'll assure 你 I wasn't one of those people :) I watched every performance she did and I still say the same thing; she's just not Mimi to me
