Privileged Did Rose and Sage's Parents Die in 9/11? (spoilers for 1x17)

When you think about it, it makes sense. They died on a plane crash, it was when Rose & Sage were about seven, and they're fifteen now, meaning it was eight years ago (in 2001). Did anybody else pick up on that? Any other theories?
