..Rain was coming down in thick sheets, making the outside look green. Lady 夏洛特 gazed from her royal red cuishoned 座位 由 the tall window longingly. The sound of an approaching car made her lift her small, round head with hope glittering in her big, brown eyes. A black car, shiny from the pouring rain appeared from under the trees and bumped up the gold-pebbled drive. Lady 夏洛特 leaped to the floor and bumped down the steps, her furry legs pumping, her 粉, 粉色 tongue lolling in an unlady-like fashion. She darted into the foir. The maid, a black and white pekingese affectionately known as Mag opened the door. A sturdy pekingese stood on the porch.
"Are 你 Lady 夏洛特 Spaniel?" he asked with a french accent. Lady Charotte came to her senses, realizing her mouth was hanging open and her tongue was flapping well out of her jowls. Her 毛皮 was ruffled. "Oh my!" she exclaimed, flattening down her 毛皮 and returning her tongue to her mouth. "I must be a disgrace to look at in this state!" But the pekingese only smiled understandlingy and knowingly, "It's is understandable, for a peke who has 迷失 her mate in such a form m'Lady". he replied. "Now tell me," he leaned foreward,"Shall we investigate?"
