Hello, everyone. Antonia here, and I decided to do a blog on 问题 I'm frequently asked about being asexual. As I mentioned in the Introduction Blog, I am asexual. I first discovered that when I was fourteen. I was bullied in school because of it. If you're not sure what asexual is, this should educate you, (I hope). Here it goes.

1. Q: If you're asexual, does that mean 你 don't date?
A: No. All asexual means is that you're not sexually attracted to anyone. Romance is totally different. Some asexuals are aromantic, but some of them are romantic. Romantically speaking, I could go either way, but I prefer males.

2. Q: Are 你 an alien?
A: No, I am not an alien. If 你 want to see aliens, watch a sci-fi film.

3. Q: Since you're not dating someone, are 你 lonely?
A: No, I'm not lonely. I have friends. Friendship can be just as rewarding as romance, if not more. Honestly, the only reason I haven't dated is I'm afraid of getting hurt. I've had good 老友记 who have been hurt in romance, and I know it could very easily happen to me.

4. Q: How do 你 know you're asexual?
A: 你 just know. That's really difficult to answer. There are different types of asexuals out there, and in the end, 你 know how 你 feel. Don't listen to anyone who tells 你 otherwise.

5. Q: Do 你 think you'll change your mind when the "right person" comes along?
A: No, I won't change my mind. Asexuality is a sexual orientation, not a choice. Besides, the "right person" would understand my needs and desires.

6. Q: If you're asexual, does that mean you're repulsed 由 sex/the idea of it?
A: No. Sexual orientation and sexual desire are actually two different things. I am repulsed 由 the idea of sex, but I don't reject it entirely.

7. Q: Are 你 asexual for religious purposes?
A: No, I'm not even religious. I'm spiritual, though. Asexuality is not celibacy. Celibacy is a choice. Asexuality is not a choice.

8. Q: What is the worst part about being asexual?
A: Probably the ridicule I've faced for it.

9. Q: What is the best part about being asexual?
A: I'm not sure. I guess the fact that it makes 你 an individual.

10. Q: Does it annoy 你 when people misconstrue your being asexual?
A: Yes.

I hope 你 enjoyed this blog. There are 更多 blogs to come.

Peace and love,
-Antonia
It was the last night of New Religion's tour. After playing most of the songs from their album, they played a few cover songs, including System of a Down's "Ego Brain". That song had helped Erin through many, many hard times. Towards the end of the concert, Erin decided to play the final song. She said, "I'm going to play the last song. Many of 你 who ever received an autograph from me may 或者 may not have noticed that I always sign right-handed, yet I always play 吉他 left-handed. Well, here's the reason. I do this in memory of my dear friend, Barry. He was a big Paul McCartney fan. When...

Some weeks passed, and the members of New Religion were asked to give another interview. The interviewer asked, "How did 你 all meet?" Erin said, "We all met in high school, except Paul and I met before then." Paul said, "Erin and I met in the eighth grade. She had recently 迷失 her best friend, and she was depressed. I knew she needed a friend." Lola said, "They later met me and Carl in high school, and we started a band." The interviewer asked, "How did 你 come up with the name, New Religion?" Erin said, "Well, when I was a kid, I thought I was a Christian, but I started to become disillusioned...

It was close to Christmas. The members of New Religion decided to go spend time was their families. Sadly, Erin's grandmother passed away. It was devastating for Erin. When New Religion picked up their tour, many people wanted to interview Erin. Lola said, "She 迷失 a loved one. How do 你 think she's doing?!" Carl said, "Erin needs time to mourn her grandmother. She doesn't need a microphone in her face." Paul said, "She's been through so much. Leave her alone!" Erin thanked her 老友记 for standing up for her. She later said, "I now know how Paul McCartney felt after John Lennon got shot." Lola hugged her. Things did get better for Erin with time. She 迷失 so many she loved, but she kept going and never gave up.

One day, the members of New Religion went on a hiking trail. During the hike, Paul got carried away and did not pay attention to the slope in front of him. He took a hard fall. His mates rushed to the slope. They could see him lying on the hard ground. "Paul!" They cried. "Are 你 okay?!" He grunted in response. Lola said, "Oh, no! He's hurt!" Erin carefully made her way down to Paul. Carl and Lola followed. Erin knelt down beside of her friend. He groaned in pain. She said, "Talk to me, Paul." He said, "I think I've broken my leg." Lola and Carl made it to Paul. Carl asked, "Paul, do 你 think...

The members of New Religion had been to New York. Their 下一个 stop in their tour was Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was a bit different from New York, but they thought it was a beautiful city. Erin especially liked it. She said, "So far, the only city I've seen that was 更多 beautiful than this was Rockingham, North Carolina." Paul said, "It certainly a beautiful city. If I'm thinking correctly, one of the members of Red Hot Chili Peppers was born here." Lola said, "Yeah, I think so. It was Anthony Kiedis, wasn't it?" Carl said, "Yes, it was. He was born here on November 1, 1962." Paul said, "Geez!...

The members of New Religion had released their first album, Broken and Mended, which was named for Erin's song. After the release of the album, the band went on tour. Carl was the most excited about it. He had traveled to many places, and he really enjoyed it. He said, "I can't wait to start our tour. I 爱情 to travel!" Erin was the most nervous, as she was afraid of heights. She said, "I'm not really comfortable with heights." Lola said, "I'm sure you'll be fine." Erin said, "If 你 get me high enough, I'll pass out." Paul said, "Don't worry, Erin. I'll sit 由 the window." Their first show...

The 日 after I was released from the hospital, my friend, Alyssa, paid me a visit. She said, "I just heard what had happened. Are 你 okay?" I said, "I'm badly hurt, but the doctor 说 I should recover." She said, "I'm glad for that. Why didn't 你 come to me instead of running away?" I said, "I just didn't think things through, Alyssa." She said, "Ellie, promise me 你 won't run away. You'll come to me instead." I smiled and said, "It's a deal!" Sometime later, Grandpa and I found the owner of the house on the other side of the forest. That kind man saved my life. The least I could do was...

Lying on the snow-covered ground, injured, I was sure I was going to die. I then saw the owner of the house approaching me. I had seen him in his yard on many occasions, but I never saw him up close until that day. He knelt down beside me. He asked, "What are 你 doing out here 由 yourself?" I faintly said, "I got 迷失 in the blizzard." He noticed the blood-stained pants leg. He said, "You don't look so good. You're pale." He then pulled up my pants leg and saw my leg was badly wounded. He said, "You're badly hurt, too. I better get 你 to a hospital." He picked me up to carry me to his truck....

I continued walking through the forest. It was so cold. I could hear the snow crunching under my feet. Suddenly, it began to snow. I couldn't really see where I was going. I made another step, and I heard a snapping sound. Immediately after the snapping sound, I felt a sharp, stabbing pain in my leg. I thought, I must've broken my leg. I'll try to get up to see the damage. When I tried to get up, it felt like something was keeping me from getting off the ground. It was almost as if I was chained. I uncovered a hunter's trap in the snow. Grandpa had shown me how to disassemble a hunter's trap...

It was a Saturday morning. I had spent Friday night with my grandparents. Grandpa took me 首页 Saturday afternoon. Father was waiting at the door. He said, "Ellie, 你 have homework this weekend." I said, "I already did it last night, Father. I did it before going to Grandma and Grandpa's. Don't 你 remember?" Father glared at me and said, "Don't get smart with me, Ellie." I said, "I'm not being smart with you. I'm telling the truth." He said, "Let me give 你 what my father gave me." He slapped me across the face. The forced knocked me to the ground. Grandpa put himself between me and Father...

Shortly after coming 首页 that evening, Father got some alcohol to drink. One drink led to another, and the 下一个 thing I knew, he was shouting at me. I said, "Father, it doesn't matter how one lives, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. It's fine to be a Christian, but it's not okay to beat the hell out of people in the name of it." I guess he knew I was referring to him. He beat on me a while and...

Every Sunday, my parents and I would go to my grandparents' house. Grandma always fixed a nice lunch. After helping Grandma wash the dishes, I would go outside, weather permitting. Usually, I'd find Grandpa sitting under the big White Oak in his garden area. Often, his Alaskan Malamute, which he named Wolf, would sit 下一个 to him. One Sunday, he said, "Hi, Ellie. Why don't 你 加入 me?" I did. Grandpa actually introduced Mother to the Beatles. I asked him about John Lennon's statement about the Beatles being "more 流行的 than Jesus." Grandpa said, "That John. He was always very opinionated...

It was my twelfth birthday. After the celebration, I was in the study room, browsing the Internet on my computer. As I was browsing the Internet, I saw something that caught my attention. It was a heading that said, "Today is the 50th anniversary of when John Lennon 说 that the Beatles are 更多 流行的 than Jesus." I was curious. I thought, Is that why Father doesn't like the fact that Mother and I are Beatles fans? Now, I knew a bit about the Beatles. I knew that they were extremely 流行的 in the 60's. I knew that they were synonymous with the British Invasion. I knew about the Paul is...

The Devil Wants Peace
After high school, Allen, Peter, and I met Stan, and he became our drummer. After we became famous, I had a 舱, 小木屋 built in the mountains. Despite the fact I no longer lived with him, Uncle Bob continued to support our band until he was tragically killed in a car crash. I blamed myself at first, because I had a bad argument with him before he died, but in a dream, he told me he forgave me. I later dated an incredible woman named Violet. It didn't work out, unfortunately. Thankfully, it ended on good terms, and we're still good friends, but we just don't function as lovers....

High School
In high school, I got beat up a lot. I got beat up before high school, but I got beat up 更多 in high school. I only dated once during high school, but it took a bad turn when she got her 老友记 to tie me to a pole and beat me up. My mother thought they had killed me, not that she would have cared if they did. Later in high school, I had a dream encounter with John Lennon. I couldn't believe it was him, because he had died nearly seven years earlier. He told me it was his spirit. I was encouraged to try and change the attitude of my hometown, but I failed. After Randall and I got...

No Stable Place
Aside from Uncle Bob, the only other family members who paid me any mind were my grandparents. My grandfather passed away about a 年 and a half after my father's untimely death. My grandmother lived until I started high school. When she was alive, I could always go to her with a problem. Every time I would have a bad 日 at school, I would go to her. She would say, "Tell me what's wrong, John." I would tell her what was wrong, and she would make everything better. When she passed away when I started high school, I was devastated. Now I had no one to go to when I had a bad day. That's when my record listening became 更多 frequent. Other than my dog, Beatle, it was my only 来源 of comfort. I really missed having a person to talk to. I missed having someone who listened to me. When he wasn't working, I could call Uncle Bob and talk to him, but it wasn't the same. Grandma seemed to have an answer for everything. Nobody else seemed to have that gift.

Uncle Bob
When my father was alive, Uncle Bob didn't come to Devil's Garden often. After my father died, he came as often as he could. Uncle Bob was my father's older brother. He never married and never had children. Still, he was to be my legal guardian if something happened to both of my parents. Of course, I would later end up living with him anyway, but that's another story. It was close to Thanksgiving, and Uncle Bob came in. It was the last 日 of school before Thanksgiving Break, but I wasn't feeling well. My mother tried to force me to go to school, but I didn't want to move. My muscles...

Farewell, My Childhood
It was July 22, 1983. I will never forget that 日期 as long as I live. It was perhaps the worst 日 of my life, the 日 I had to 吻乐队(Kiss) my childhood goodbye. I visited with my grandparents that day. I really enjoyed hanging out with them. My mother took my sisters on a shopping spree. My father had to work. I was twelve, and my father didn't trust me at 首页 由 myself. I asked to stay with my grandparents until after dinner. My father picked me up to take me home. Along the way, a truck ran a red light and hit the car. A 吉他 and the Two Beatles
December 8, 1980 was a 日期 that I will never forget. I had been to an event with the school band. My father and I were heading home. It was late at night, and we were listening to the radio. I will never forget the news. John Lennon had been shot and killed. My father tried to hide it, but he couldn't help it. He just had to cry. I asked, "Father, was he your friend?" My father dried his tears and said, "No, son, I never met him. I only knew of him. He was a member of the British band, the Beatles." I was curious and asked him to tell me more. He told me about how...

Gaining Friends
As time passed, I still hadn't made any friends. Even in church, other kids bullied me. One day, some of the other kids in church were physically bullying me. I then heard a big, booming voice say, "Stop that right now! Would 耶稣 do such a thing?" The other kids ran away, and I got up. There was a man standing there. He was not particularly skinny 或者 stout. He was clean shaven and had short hair, even shorter than my father's. He wasn't particularly short 或者 tall. He appeared to be around sixty-two 或者 sixty-three. He had dark, brown eyes and pepper gray hair. He had a deep...
