Although I really like the ending they got, especially comapred to the storylines other characters got in seasons 7-9, Ibelieve that there still was a lot to tell!
Dream scenario: Jake & Jenny coming back & Luke's jealousy :D
1.Peyton creating a comic-book based on Lucas' script.
2.Peyton convincing Lucas to adopt a baby-boy
3. Both of them creating a place for "rebel teens" - I can really imagine them showing teens that sport, music & art can change a life:)

Well I have Jake in mind also. Considering that Chris Keller is back, i think he could suggest Peyton new act for RB records and that wuould be Jake. After coming back to TH Jake would struggle with his old feelings for Peyton. But I think Jake was too decent and proud for that.

i don't think anything with jake would make much sense, or even be entertaining for that matter. i think his run on the show has long served its purpose...

but i personally would have just liked to have seen them be an actual married couple & family for a little while. we spent 6 seasons waiting for LP's wedding, but didn't even really get to see them be married. we spent a whole season in suspense regarding peyton being pregnant, but didn't really get to see her AS a mom once the baby was born...or lucas as a dad.

and I also would have liked to see leyton + haley reopen karen's cafe. i think that would have been a great family centered, full circle storyline for them. and would have made much more sense than haley doing it with brooke..

One thing that I really think would have been golden, storyline wise is Lucas and Dan finally making peace, or getting some kind of real closure. They touched on it a bit in season 6, but I think they really could have taken it further, and gone deeper with it. It sounds like we'll get to see Dan reach some kind of redemption with Nathan and Haley this season, and I just really wish we got that same closure with him and Lucas.

IMO it's unfortunate that the Lucas vs. Dan ark was such a huge part of the show's beginning, but just kind of fell through the cracks and never really led anywhere. Talk about a full circle storyline, that would have been perfect for the final season!

Happily ever after isn't exactly a storyline. OTH is a drama, so there has to be some. They are main characters, so you have to keep them together. And on the other side, in order to avoid bordome, you have to compromise their harmony. Look at Naley, they've been trough heaven and hell.
So, maybe cutting Leyton out was a good idea after all. This way they stayed truly epic and untouchable couple.

Peyton would do one of her specialites - kiss some other guy, probably Julian and then she would cry all episode :D

I think they deserved the chance to be away from all the drama of Tree Hill and be a happy normal family (cause lets face it, that town is messed up!). But it would've been nice to see them raising Sawyer where they grew up

I think they would have fought a lot for ~drama~. Possibly had a pregnancy scare so Lucas could be all I can't live that life! again. Peyton would have been stalked by someone, maybe run some more red lights. In the end they'd face no consequences and live happily ever after.

and I always think it's funny when people act like leyton's story was so much more "over, with nothing left to tell" than the other core 3's stories. right. as if the storylines we've seen for the remaining characters over the last 3 seasons just HAD to be told lol. everyone's story was equally complete by the time 6x24 came around.

we didn't HAVE to see nathan's fake pregnancy scandal. or him once again having to stop playing basketball.

we didn't HAVE to see haley's mom die.

we didn't HAVE to see brooke lose clothes/bros for the 20th time.

we didn't HAVE to see her failed attempt at mending her relationship with her father that was MIA for the first 8 seasons.

we didn't HAVE to see nathan's attempt to sign some random baseball player, who happened to be his professor's son?

we didn't HAVE to see brooke supposedly not be able to have children.

we didn't HAVE to see nathan go missing.

we didn't HAVE to see X get out of jail, and attack brooke again.

we didn't HAVE to see haley and brooke's cafe rivalry with tara.

...I could go on and on. anything that happened after season 6... was not vital for the completion of the show whatsoever. so acting as if leyton's story was the only one unnecessary to continue past season 6 is ridiculous. none of the other remaining characters had anything left to contribute either, clearly.
