[The Final Showdown! Ace Vs. Kasuji]

'Gear Segundo!'

'Is this supposed to surprise me, Monkey D. Ace? The fact that 你 can use that technique not only proves 你 are his son, but the fact that 你 are nothing but a no-good pirate, too. Your technique is still useless against me!' Kasuji smiled, his teeth even slightly showing.

Ace ignored the toothy grin, as his body began to give off steam. He stood.

'Vice-Admiral... 你 haven't figured it out yet, have you? I used my titanium against you, right? It's widely known that any Paramecia user can defeat a Logia-user, when they have the use of Haki. I already told 你 my father taught me Haki, as well as my mother, who is from the Island of Women, 亚马逊 Lily. I haven't used it yet. You're a fool. To think that 你 so blatantly missed the fact that I'm not just my father's son, but also my mother's son... he may not be the most intelligent of men, but my mother is no fool and she was the one that provided me with my education. I honestly can't believe 你 were gullible enough to take in my act and believe it, too.'

Kasuji frowned. 'Do 你 honestly expect me to believe that? Any fool can provide words, but can 你 really bypass the power of my Devils 水果 like that? I can utilise my ability to shut down down the powers of your fruit, 由 increasing the salinity of the water that isn't touching my body. Stop deceiving yourself... 你 can't beat me. 你 say that any Paramecia-user can beat a Logia-user with Haki, but no Devils 水果 user can defeat someone with my power. You're finished!'

Ace grinned. 'I already was well aware of that. Did 你 forget about the power of this technique? How are 你 going to shut down my powers when 你 can't even catch me yourself?'

Ace vanished. Kasuji's eyes almost popped out of his head. 秒 later, a fist imbued with Haki slammed into his mid-section and he fell backwards, landing on the ground. In an instant, he was up again and moving into an attack with the salt water at the end of his water arms, but he was far too slow and Ace disappeared again.

'Eki Eki No Gatling Gun: Busoshoku Yari!'

Kasuji was too slow and his body was hit my multiple arms, imbued in Haki. He shot backwards, landing close to the sea.

'Curse you, Monkey D. Ace! Tidal Wave!!!'

The water from the ocean frothed and billowed upwards, until it formed a massive wave. Though it shouldn't have been possible, the fresh water was drawing the salt water upwards via contact and allowed Kasuji to temporarily control the massive arcing wave. Then, it crashed down towards Ace, a pulsing, frothing beast of water. Kasuji squinted, but couldn't see what was happening, as the wave finally broke upon where the pirate had been standing 秒 before.

'Sorry. I can't allow 你 to defeat me, Vice-Admiral. Eki Eki No Titanium Cannon: Busoshoku Yari!'

His arms changed into titanium and further hardened with the Haki, then slammed into Kasuji's mid-section again. He groaned with pain, twisted his face into a look of agony and then coughed a 喷泉 of blood, before collapsing to the ground.

'Vice-Admiral Kasuji!!!' the Marines all yelled and flocked towards the battleground. Ace used most of the rest of his energy to continue using 秒 Gear, then disappeared into the distance, until the Marines 迷失 sight of him, then allowed it fade and receded back to his normal body, though he was puffed and even moving seemed to require 更多 energy than normal. Ace headed back towards Galley-La Company, still intending to buy a 船, 小船 to sail with.

'Hey!!!' Ace yelled, when he was close to the yard. The shipwrights flocked over to welcome him back, while looking in the distance to make sure that the Navy hadn't followed Ace.

Iceberg looked at him. 'What happened to you? I thought 你 were a gonna when the Navy ship sailed past... there was a Vice-Admiral on there... 你 must've escaped at the perfect time.'

'No... Vice-Admiral Kasuji is down for the count. I showed him the power of Haki and the Eki Eki No Mi... he won't be bothering me again. What about 你 guys? Won't the Navy come back here because of me?'

'Even if they do, I'm the mayor and control the world's best shipwright company... they wouldn't dare to mess with us, 或者 try to arrest us. We'll be fine.'

'Okay. So... can I have that 船, 小船 now? I still have the money, Mr. Iceberg.'

'Yeah... follow me. I'll take 你 to the 船, 小船 that will bring 你 the world's highest bounty and allow 你 to become the world's greatest pirate, besides your father.'
