Niall will say he's totally carefree about dating, gossip, and being in the biggest boy band in the world. But ask the 19-year-old about a certain girl and it's clear there's a secret seriousness under his mellow Irish exterior!

17: There's so much gossip written about all the guys in the band. What's the biggest misconception about you?

Niall Horan: That I have a girlfriend - I don't have a girlfriend. People also say I'm boxy, like it looks like I haven't been to the gym. There's always something going around. It doesn't bother me. I'm not sensitive in that way.

17: Were 你 this laid-back in high school?

NH: I was very talkative-I was a people person. I was always singing...even now, I'll just get up and sing. I'm really approachable. 你 can just come over and chat with me. I like to treat people the way I want to be treated.

17: Clearly you're not shy. Have 你 ever been afraid to ask a girl out?

NH: When I was young, I was shy around girls. But now, I wouldn't be afraid to ask a girl out. I don't believe in games. It's childish.

17: Have 你 gone on any good dates recently?

NH: There hasn't been anyone great in a while. I don't really have time to think about girls. When I'm not working, I only want to go back to Ireland and chill with my friends. 老友记 and family come first-always.

17: But everyone knows 你 have a crush on Demi Lovato. What do 你 like most about her?

NH: The nice thing about Demi is, once 你 know her, she's really, really beautiful. We became good friends. It's so crazy that she can be so honest about everything she's gone through. She has a fantastic attitude. If I ever needed anything 或者 needed to talk to anybody, I think Demi would be the person to talk to.
