Niall Horan Fanfic Chapter 28: Why Is 爱情 So Hard to Find?
    Niall and I stayed snuggled up like that for a little while longer, but it was still too early to sleep. Niall was going to a party later, but I didn’t want him to leave.
    Niall was starting to get ready.
“You can come with me.” He said.
“No, I hate parties, everyone gets all drunk, and that’s not my scene.” I said.
“I’ll miss 你 though.” He 说 giving me 小狗 eyes.
“I’ll miss 你 too, but I’m still not coming. It’s been a long 日 anyway.” I said.
“So getting drunk will take your mind off of it.” He 说 laughing.
“Don’t even joke Niall. 你 better not get drunk, it’s so annoying.” I said.
“Fine, not totally drunk.” He said.
“If 你 come 首页 slurring I’ll kill you.” I said.
    He just laughed and gave me a hug and continued getting ready. 由 the time he left to leave it was 11:30 p.m. He gave me a hug and 吻乐队（Kiss） goodbye, then he left. I went into the living room and Niall’s mom was on the couch.
“So everything is fine now?” she asked giving me a smile.
“Yeah, me and Niall are good.” I 说 happily.
“Good, I hate seeing 你 two fighting, it’s not right, you’re too in love, it’s not worth it.” She 说 giving my hand a squeeze.
    I smiled at her. She was the nicest person in the world. We sat and talked for a little bit, but then she went up to bed, because she had work in the morning. I stayed on the 长椅, 沙发 and listened to 音乐 for a little while. Then I texted my parents to tell them I was okay. Not like they cared.
    It was around 6 in the morning when Niall came home. His mom was awake and so was I; I never went to sleep that night. Niall stumbled in totally drunk, and he seemed mad. He was cussing out his mom, and 表演 like a fool.
    He couldn’t stand up never mind walk, he was slurring, and he was missing a shoe. Maura looked so mad. She didn’t even want to be near him. As much as I hated it when he got drunk I had to step in and take him away from his mom. She finished getting ready and immediately left for work, only stopping to wish me luck.
    I grabbed Niall roughly 由 the arm and practically dragged him upstairs into his room. I sat him on the 床, 床上 and went to get him a glass of iced water. When I came back he was only in his underwear.
“Why are 你 getting naked?” I asked.
“Obvious reasons, why else would 你 bring me up to my room?” he said.
“Because 你 need to sober up. I am in no way sleeping with you.” I said.
“Why? Do 你 not 爱情 me?” he 说 taking a step closer to me.
“Niall I 爱情 you, but not right now.” I 说 stepping back.
“Why?” he asked coming closer.
“You’re drunk. 你 know I hate it when 你 do this, but 你 still do it anyway.” I said, moving even farther back.
“Why do 你 keep backing up?” he asked, with a look in his eyes I had never seen.
“Because I don’t want 你 near me right now.” I said.
    He gripped me 由 my arms tightly. I tried to pull away, but he jerked me back in.
“Niall let me go.” I said.
“Why should I?” he asked.
“Niall, you’re scaring me, stop it.” I said.
“Niall you’re scaring me stop it.” He mimicked at me.
    My eyes were stinging with tears. His grip on my arms was so tight, and he was being really mean. I couldn’t believe this was happening.
“Niall if 你 don’t let me go, I will never speak to 你 again.” I said.
“What do I care?” he spat at me.
    That was it. My adrenaline kicked in and I broke free from his grip. I grabbed the glass of iced water and threw it in his face. He seemed really discombobulated for a second, but then regained his composure. 由 the time he did I had already ran out of the room. He chased me out of the house and I ran. I had no clue where I was going but I ran, and ran.
    When I turned around Niall was gone. He hadn’t followed me anymore. I called his mom. She answered on the first ring.
“I can’t do this.” I cried into the phone.
“Hazel what’s happening? Where are you? I hear cars.” She said.
    I explained the whole story to her. She 说 she would come 首页 and to meet her at the house. I walked back slowly hoping she would be there before me. Surely when I pulled up her car was there. I looked at my watch, and I t was already 1 in the afternoon. How long had I been gone?
    Niall was sitting on the steps crying, and his mom was standing in front of him yelling. I slowly walked up to the house. Niall’s mom ran over to me. She grabbed my wrists. There were some bruises starting to form. It reminded me of when I was with my ex-boyfriend Josh. He always hit me. Niall’s mom pulled me in front of him and showed him my arms.
“Do 你 have any idea what 你 have done?!” She screamed at him.
    He looked at my arms and 更多 tears spilled from his eyes.
“I was drunk.” He choked out.
“Do 你 remember anything?” I asked quietly.
“No, but my mom told me what happened. I am so sorry Hazel. I can’t even begin to describe how sorry I am.” He said.
“Niall, 你 don’t know how much 你 hurt me. Not these stupid bruises on my arms, I told 你 to let go when 你 grabbed on to me, and 你 laughed in my face.” I said.
“Hazel, I…” he said.
“Save it.” I said.
“You probably hate me now. For real this time.” He 说 looking at the ground.
“No, I could never, ever hate 你 Niall. I hate what 你 do sometimes, like get drunk, but I 爱情 you.” I said.
    I couldn’t believe it, but I was forgiving him. Something about the way he was so distressed, and how he couldn’t find the words to apologize, because he knew no words could cover something so bad, made him look real to me. I knew that sober, he would never lay a hand on me. I knew what he did was wrong, but if he was willing to fix things, so was I.
“Hazel, 你 probably want to end things and I totally get it. Maybe someday we can get together again, I know I messed everything up, and you’ve been in a bad relationship before, I wish I could have been different for you.” He 说 crying some more.
“Niall, I don’t want to end things with you.” I said, surprising myself 更多 than him.
“You…you don’t?” he asked.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this but no, I don’t.” I said.
“Hazel I swear to 你 I will never get drunk again. I will never treat 你 this way again. What I did was bad, it was worse than bad. 你 should’ve broken up with me, but I will prove to 你 that staying with me is worth it.” He said.
“Niall?” I said.
“Yeah?” he answered looking really scared.
“Please go put some pants on.” I laughed.
    He still hadn’t put any pants on over his boxers from earlier. The poor boy was sitting outside in his undies.
    He looked down, and smiled. It was a weak smile, but still a smile. He had hives all over himself from crying so hard. He looked extremely tired, and he reeked, but he was still the most beautiful boy I have ever seen. When he stood up he wobbled a little and a grabbed onto his arm to support him.
“Why are 你 being so nice to me?” he asked.
“You were totally smashed. If 你 had been sober and done that stuff I would have called the cops. Niall I 爱情 you, but 你 need to stop drinking. One drink is fine, but getting totally wasted? 你 need to stop. We keep saying that we’re past all of this, but honestly we aren’t.” I said.
    He nodded at me and he looked like he was going to cry again.
“Why are 你 the one crying?” I asked.
“Because I’m the one who ruined everything.” He answered sadly.
“Niall, listen to me, nothing is ruined. We’re going to forget today ever happened. Understand?” I said.
“Agreed.” He 说 with a relieved look on his face.
    I intertwined my fingers with him and we walked into his room, so he could put some clothes on. I laid down on the 床, 床上 and he sat 下一个 to me.
“Hazel?” he said.
“Hmm?” I moaned sleepily.
“After everything that happened today, 你 haven’t taken the ring off, but when I told 你 I was visiting Ireland, 你 threw it at me. Why?” he asked.
“Well, today, 你 were totally smashed, and even if I gave 你 this back 你 wouldn’t have even known who I was. Also, after giving it back twice, I really like having it safely on my hand.” I said.
    Niall had laid down 下一个 to me and was stroking my hair. I loved feeling him near me. It made me feel safe. Even after what happened today.
    Niall looked at me; his eyes were so focused on mine.
“I 爱情 你 Hazel, and I am so sorry for everything.” He said.
“It’s okay.” I said.
“So is the whole getting married idea totally squashed?” he asked nervously.
“No.” I answered.
“No?” he asked.
“I 爱情 你 babe.” I said.
“I 爱情 你 too.” He replied.
    I turned onto my side and snuggled up 下一个 to Niall. He wrapped his arms around me and sang ‘Lego House’ 由 Ed Sheeran to me until I fell asleep. Right before I fell asleep, Niall placed a gentle 吻乐队（Kiss） on my lips and whispered ‘I 爱情 you’ to me one 更多 time.
