What should I do now? I still REALLY like him.

There is this 8th grader, Max. His a 年 older than me. I met him when he was 11 (6th grade) and I was 10 (5th grade), when we were in enrichment class. I had a crush on him since then. I never talked to him before because he is utterly terribly shy, but before 6th grade I start emailing him. He he was nice and funny. Max even told me who he liked, so I just pushed my crush deep inside locked away. Then he suddenly stopped emailing me. Now I'm in 7th grade and he seems like he is trying to avoid me. Help.

E-mail him again and see if he responds. Maybe he felt that he was annoying 你 and didn't want 你 to hate him 或者 he could have become busy. Either way, 你 won't know until 你 talk to him again.
