What's your opinion?

It always bothered me that she didn't go back to John Smith, sometimes it still does.
But as I got older and realized that 迪士尼 was just following what we know from history...well it was better, but realistic 或者 not it still bothered me.

It doesn't bother me. Pocahontas thought John Smith was dead. She felt regret for not going with him and missed him. She grieved and tried to get on with her life. When she met John Rolfe she wasn't looking for 爱情 but 由 spending time together and bonding she grew to have feelings for him. When she found out John Smith was still alive she was conflicted. She thought he was dead so she did not intentionally betray their love. She thought it was over. She grew from it. When she makes her final choice its not that she doesn't still 爱情 Smith, its that she has moved on and doesn't 爱情 him like that anymore. Their paths were no longer going the same way. I think Smith realized that and respected her decision. I think with all the time apart he had time to reflect and follow his own dreams and path.

I know 迪士尼 did it to be historically correct but I think even if it wasn't like that in history I would have liked what happened in the sequel. This is just my opinion and what I feel.
