NBC's "Knight Rider" remake has cast its female lead -- and is working at getting the original Knight to make an appearance as well.

Deanna Russo ("The Young and the Restless") will 星, 星级 opposite fellow soap actor Justin Bruening ("All My Children") in the two-hour movie/back-door pilot that 更新 the 1980s NBC show. Meanwhile, according to The Hollywood Reporter, original "Knight Rider" 星, 星级 David Hasselhoff is in talks to reprise his role as Michael Knight.

"Knight Rider" -- NBC's iconic 1980s 电视 classic that became a runaway success -- comes roaring back to life on the network with an updated sequel that will air as a two-hour movie event on Sunday, February 17 (9-11 p.m. ET).
