"Esme, I know I shouldn't blame myself but I do. I feel like this is all of our fault, and I am going to get her back. Thank 你 for helping me see that I need to not give up, that we need to keep going." I 说 as I hugged her.
"Use your anger, Edward." She said, which surprised me quite a bit. "Don't look at me like that." She 说 as she laughed.
"I never thought I would hear 你 tell me to use my anger, you're always trying to get us to be peaceful." I 说 as I laughed.
"I would prefer peace." She 说 as she smiled. "However, these people need to pay for everything." She 说 as she smiled, revealing all of her teeth as a very quiet growl started.
I laughed as I hugged her again. "I agree Esme, they will pay for this...but let's get Bella first." I 说 as I wrapped my arm around her as we started walking towards the boarding gate...at the exact time they announced the final boarding call.
Chapter 45
Esme and I boarded the plane with 分钟 to spare, the stewardess looked annoyed when we ran onto the plane. Her thoughts about how 'Those first class people think they rule the world.' But what she 说 was much 更多 polite, she helped us to our seats and wished us a happy flight.....I fought the urge to laugh as I sat down.
"What was that about?" Alice thought as she turned in her 座位 across the isle.
"She helped me see that I need to fight for Bella, she told me what I needed to hear." I thought back.
"Alice, would 你 mind?" I asked out loud.
"Nope, not at all." She 说 as she leaned her head on Jasper's arm, his other hand going to her face. She closed her eyes and searched for anything that would change our outcome, 或者 anything that would help us find Bella.
I got to talking with everyone, discussing our options and what we thought would be best. Everyone thoughts about Bella and where she was 或者 what she was doing, except for Alice who was still searching for something.
Emmett was just discussing how excited he was to fight, and how Rosalie didn't let him fight anymore when Alice's eyes snapped open as she gasped so loud that the stewardess came over to check on her.
Once we convinced the stewardess that we were all fine, and Carlisle promised her that he would check Alice out..seeing as how he was a doctor..we all turned to look at Alice who was still staring into space. Jasper was whispering soothing words to her, but she was starring at something.
I closed my eyes and pushed the voices out of my head except for the quiet one that belonged to Alice. I managed to follow it until I found her, she was having a vision about Bella. She had gotten away, she was driving somewhere with two girls in a SUV. Alice's eyes focused on mine as she gasped again.
"She got away." She 说 as she leaned forward, resting her head on her knees.
"What's going on?" Rosalie asked.
"Bella got away." I whispered as I fought to keep myself in the seat, my brain figuring out how to get out of this plane...regardless as to where we were.
"Well, that's a good thing.....right?" Emmett asked as he stood up and walked behind me.
"Yes, I think it is a good thing." I 说 as I looked up at him. I always enjoyed Emmett's mind, it was like the cool breeze I needed right now.
He was thinking about the chances if we were to jump from the plane, parachute 或者 no. He was also thinking about how much he was going to enjoy getting retribution for everything that these people have put us through.
I put my head back and smiled at him. "You and me both. Oh and I think someone would notice if we opened the door and took off."
"Oh...yeah, you're right. Can we fly any faster?" He laughed.
"Probably not, Esme would 你 ask how long until we land please?" I asked as I smiled.
She got up and walked over to the first class stewardess who was watching us all closely. I heard Esme ask a few 问题 before she returned smiling as she thought about 花 so that I didn't know the answer.
"We're two hours outside of Seattle, maybe less." Esme 说 as she wrapped her arm around Carlisle's waist.
"Maybe..." Alice 说 as I felt my pocket vibrate, letting me know there was a voice mail message.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket, flipping it open so that I could see who it was that called. I didn't recognize the number that it listed, but apparently I had a voice mail message. I hit the talk button as it called the number, beeping once to let me know that I didn't have very good coverage.
I was shocked when I heard Bella's voice, it sounded strange...a combination of happiness and fear, joy and absolute terror.
"Edward," Just the sound of her saying my name was enough to send my nerves flying. "Edward, I got away. We are outside the town of New Castle. I can't say more, because I'm scared they will find us. Please cal me back, here is the number. 908.358.1393, that's 908.358.1393. Please, please call me back....I'm scared, I need to talk to you. Please call me, I 爱情 you."
I listened to it three times, 写作 down the phone number on a napkin before I closed my phone. I turned and saw six sets of eyes staring at me, all of them only hearing bits and pieces of the conversation.
"Bella got away, it sounds like she is with someone because she 说 we and us...but I don't know who." I 说 as I shook my head. "She's scared, I have to call this number."
I opened my phone again and dialed the number...only to hear my phone beep because I had no service. I cussed as I turned and asked everyone to check if they had service...and none of them did. I tried the phones on the plane, but with the storm that we were entering interfered.
"Edward, we'll land soon. Don't worry." Carlisle 说 as I put my head in my hands.
"But...her voice, she's so scared. She NEEDS me Carlisle." I 说 into my hands.
"I know son, please be patient." He 说 as he laid a hand on my shoulder, his thoughts about how hard this must be for me.
"I feel helpless." I whispered.
Alice was about to say something....but a vision stopped her in her tracks, a scream escaping both of our lips as the entire plane went silent.
