in a way that would have been completely wrong if we didnt already know that edward was her true love. like they referred to in tha book, bella didnt belong to our world because she was so different and out of place here and thats why edward was her perfect match. if she hadnt met him though and did in fact belong to "our world" jacob would have been her perfect soul mate. so because of her difference and knowledge of her an jake never being 更多 than friends, chasing edward was the right,but harsh thing to do.
