李知恩 spoke up about her controversial song “Zeze” in her 最近的 pictorial and interview with GQ Korea.

In the December issue of GQ magazine, 李知恩 said, “A lot of discussion took place around this song, and I saw that many opinions were being thrown out and that the topic of discussion itself was becoming broader, and honestly, I was thankful.”

She added, “While there was a lot of judgement about me as a person, it was a surprise when people politely expressed their opinions and focused on the issue, regardless of whether 或者 not they were criticizing me 或者 defending me.”

She also said, “I don’t want to conclude, ‘This is right and that is wrong’ about the interpretations on the song. Since my own freedom is important, if I want to protect that, I have to protect other people’s freedom to interpret the song.” She added, “I still like this song as much as I did before I released the album. If people don’t like me anymore because of the lyrics of ‘Zeze,’ I have to accept that without throwing a fit. That’s because that person’s interpretation and feelings exist, too.”

She also clarified, “That doesn’t mean that 你 can conclude that I’m a pedophile. There’s a difference between interpretation of a song and criticism towards the person.”

Despite her response, some netizens remain critical, saying, “What is she doing? She’s a hopeless case of shamelessness,” “That 照片 in her underwear is as raunchy as the 照片 she’s suing over. That’s how she is normally,” and “In the end, she beat around the 衬套, 布什 and explained nothing.”
