The sound of horse hooves clanking against cobblestone broke the silence of the morning at the phantomhive manor. Sebastian was already on his feet, carefully preparing breakfast for his master. The sound of knocking alerted him and he sprung to the door.
"guests... We aren't expecting anyone, are we? Oh, it must be the carriage for Elizabeth." he whispered under his breath. Sebastian courteously opened the door and bowed slightly.
"I'm here for Elizabeth." an old man coughed.

"you think I'm fun?! Yay!" Helena cheered. She held up her hand and smacked it against Finnian's. Helena did a small dance and then clapped. "when is the best time to ask him?"
"probably after he serves master Ciel breakfast." Finnian noted.
"I'll go ask him then. But what if he says no... Hmm..." Helena tapped her lips in thought.
"maybe if 你 have something 你 could offer me I could let 你 stay in my gardening shack!" Finnian held a finger up.
"I can garden things! I could help you! Would that be enough?" she smiled and clasped her hands together.
"well..." Finnian rubbed his chin.
"AND I can help Meylene and Bard! I'm decent at cooking things." she bargained.
"alright! That seems good enough. Come on, I'll take 你 to Sebastian. However, he probably won't like the fact you're covered in bruises, lumps, and cuts. Plus, 你 aren't looking very well kept. That could impose his judging of you. Here, I'll help sneak 你 up into one of the bathrooms. 你 can meet Bard and Meylene then too!" Finnian grabbed her arm.
"thank 你 so much Finnian! Your so kind! Your helping me so much with this! I owe 你 a lot, Finnian. And to think I just crawled out of a shrub..." she beamed.
"it's a little lonely out here with just Ciel, Sebastian, Bard, and Meylene. We could use an extra hand around here anyways. Bard's always burning things and Meylene's a klutz." Finnian laughed. He led her back to his gardening shack and then poked around. Finnian pulled out a large trashcan and then nodded.
"oh! What's that for?" Helena cocked her head and prodded the metal can.
"get in and I'll carry 你 through the house in it. If Sebastian see's us, he won't know you're inside." Finnian motioned towards the can.
"smart! And if he does see us just tell him 你 were going to clean it out. Bit how are 你 going to lift it with me inside?" she asked.
"I'm a lot stronger than I look!" Finnian pointed at himself proudly.
"okay, here I go." Helena giggled. She jumped inside the metal can, sending up a plume of black dress and blonde hair. Helena landed inside with a thump and then stuck her hand out of the trashcan, flashing Finnian a thumbs up. He picked the can up effortlessly and then hauled it through the courtyard. Finnian dashed through the house and up the first flight of stairs.
"where do 你 think your going?" Bard asked.
"oh Bard! Prefect timing! Come on, I have someone cool to 显示 you." Finnian replied.
"what? Is there a 鼠, 大鼠 in here 或者 something? Did 你 put Tanaka in this trashcan Finny?" Bard laughed.
"no, this is way better than a rat!" Finnian piped.
"what is it?" Bard raised an eyebrow.
"come one and I'll 显示 you!" Finnian took off down the hall. The two scurried about for what seemed to helena like forever until they finally stopped.
"Meylene! Get over here!" Bard ordered. Meylene glanced around and then hurried over to Finnian and Bard.
"what is it?" she asked?
"are 你 guys ready!?" Finnian asked, brimming with excitement.
"open it man!" Bard cried.
"what's going on?!" Meylene cupped her hands onto her cheeks. Finnian threw the lid of the trashcan off, which slammed harshly into the wall, and pointed at it.
"hi! I'm Helena! Helena Middleford! It's nice to meet 你 all." she grinned, popping out.
"Middleford as in Elizabeth?!" Bard shouted.
"no, as in Helena!" Finnian said.
"Elizabeth had a sister and that's me. No one knows about my existence. Except Ciel and maybe a handful of other young bachelors. And they all think I'm dead. And I almost was dead because daddy tried to drown me." she frowned.
"so eh... Why are 你 'ere?" Bard cocked his head.
"I wan a job with 你 guys. I want to work for Ciel and Sebastian. I want to prove that I'm worth something!" Helena said, crawling out of the trashcan.
"oh. But Sebastian isn't hiring and we're pretty much good on staff around here." Meylene protested.
"well... I have a feeling I might be able to persuade him! It'll be fun to try anyway!" she grinned.
"hmm... Well one things for sure, he won't hire 你 in the state your in right now. He'll consider it unprofessional and improper. He doesn't like that." Bard rubbed his stubbly chin.
"that's why Finnian brought me up here, so I could fix my hair and such." she remarked.
"so that's why 你 three are in my room." Meylene murmured.
"Helena, Helena Middleford. Is that you?" Sebastian folded his arms across his chest. Meylene, Finnian, and Bard seemed to shrink in their places.
"IM SORRY SEBASTIAN I DIDN'T MEAN TO! SHE JUST SEEMED SO NICE AND FUN AND I WANTED TO HELP HER!" Finnian screeched, bursting into tears. Sebastian sighed and held his forehead in his hands.
"awww Finnian it's my fault! I was the one who asked 你 too!" Helena protested. She ripped a chunk of her dress off and handed it to Finnian. He sobbed and dried his eyes in a depressed manor.
"it's all right Finnian, I did not say 你 did anything wrong." he grumbled. "however, I have a bit to say to Helena. Why are 你 here?"
"I'm here to get a job. My parents disowned me and tried to kill me thanks to 你 and Ciel... I stowed away on the cab elizabeth took here yesterday... Just so I could prove to 你 and Ciel that I am something." Helena said, her head hanging low. She wiped a tear from her blue eyes and Finnian handed her the piece of ripped black fabric.
"disowned you? We were told 你 had been killed. That 你 had died in and 'accident'." Sebastian retorted sourly, seeming extremely surprised. Helena wiped her eyes daintily and then snorted.
"My dad tried to kill me. He failed, though, and then took me to an orphanage. Some stuff happened and now I'm back here. Applying for a job. I can do anything really. Wash windows, make tea, stuff like that. 你 don't even have to pay me, I just need a place to stay and some food." she said, sniffling.
"I must tell master about this... It's shocking and uncalled for... I'm not saying yes... But I'm also not saying no... If what 你 say is true, I may be able to work something out. With the consent of Ciel and the rest of the staff. But for now, get back to work." Sebastian ordered. He wore a grave expression as he stalked out of the room. Helena burst into rapid tears and shivered.
"I'm sorry! I got 你 all in trouble didn't I?!" she sobbed.
"Sebastian was just in my room... Oh..." Meylene cooed to herself. She danced outside, holding a mop and tripping over her own feet.
"oh crap... I'm sorry 你 guys... It's all my fault!" Helena wept.
"I don't think he'll be punishing us. He seemed somewhat okay with the whole idea and if he hires 你 and you're a valuable person in here... He might just reward us." Bard shrugged.
"reward us?! With what?! A pie maybe!? That would be great!" Finnian grinned.
"well, I'm going to get back to work. 你 should too Finnian." Bard suggested.
"all right! Wanna come with me Helena?" he smiled.
"sure, I'll help 你 out on the shrubs!" she piped, smiling.
"what do 你 mean helena is alive!?" Ciel demanded.
"if 你 don't believe me I suppose I could bring her up here for you. She's down in the garden helping Finnian at the moment, master." Sebastian said, hands folded together lightly.
"helping him do what?" Ciel growled.
"well, if 你 look out the window, Finnian is holding her up on his shoulders and she is clipping the very 最佳, 返回页首 of the hedges." Sebastian pointed out the window. Finnian was holding the girl up and she carefully trimmed off the very 最佳, 返回页首 of each hedge. Tanaka was sitting idly in the background with his cup of tea, laughing. Once she had finished, helena gave Finnian a thumbs up. He promptly dumped her onto the ground and she went running after him.
"got you!" she sang, tackling the boy. The two burst into laughter and high fived.
"she seems to get along well with the staff..." Ciel mumbled to himself, turning back around.
"yes master, they all seem like they're getting along with her decently well. Have 你 made a decision yet? It's just about time for your lunch. Today, I have prepared-" Sebastian began.
"I have not made a decision. It is not fitting for a woman to work in the gardens and we already have our housemade. How much does she wan to be paid?" Ciel grumbled.
"she does not want to be paid. She simply wants to have a 床, 床上 and three meals a day. Which, from what Finnian told me, is much better than the things she had at her orphanage." he said, pouring Ciel a cup of warm tea.
"interesting... Well, see to me after tonights game of pool. I will have a decision 由 then..." Ciel huffed. He sniffed the 茶 and then gagged. "this is not the usual Sebastian!" he remarked in a hostile manor.
"oh dear, I'm sorry master. Meylene must have mistook your usual for a different type. I will see to it immediately." Sebastian apologized, bowing before wheeling the 大车, 购物车 out.
"good." Ciel snarled, grabbing a paper and turning his chair around. The moment sebastian left the room he set it down. Ciel plucked his walking stick from it's leaning position and marched toward the window.
"so, Helena, you're back. What could 你 possibly want? A job? 你 could get one anywhere. 你 could go to any of your other bachelor's. Yet 你 choose me. Why? I threw 你 out and now 你 want to prove something to me," Murmured Ciel. "it's unlikely that's the only reason 你 came..."
