Gin Ichimaru (市丸 ギン) was the Captain of the 3rd Division of the Gotei 13 until he betrayed Soul Society, alongside Sōsuke Aizen and Kaname Tōsen. His lieutenant was Izuru Kira. Although 杜松子酒 is also a major antagonist of the series, he does provide a fair amount of amusement throughout the series, usually through 随意 appearances at the end of most episodes of the Arrancar, Hueco Mundo, Captain Amagai, and Fake Karakura arcs, where he outlines various facts about the Arrancar.
