Lisa entered the greenhouse expecting, if not somewhat hoping to see Melvina. Instead, just a tray of 食物 and 茶 lay in waiting. She sat down to eat and then thought of the journal. She opened it and read Hugh’s 描述 of the night before and his conversation with Melvina. She tried to take it all in as she read. She had just tucked the book back in its spot when she heard a noise at the door. In walked a tall, pale, thin woman with the blackest hair that Lisa...

Lisa reached the spot 由 the 玫瑰 where she would begin trimming and pruning for the night. She looked up at the big house illuminated 由 the sunset and saw two figures in the window. They appeared to be 迷失 in conversation of some sort. She tried to imagine what kind of things they could be talking about. Would they boil them 或者 fry them for dinner? It really wasn’t funny but she had to think of something to make herself laugh....
